We've written about Geami Packaging in the past (the laser-cut paper that Crate & Barrel uses for shipping), but we received a package in the office the other day that used a packing material new to us. ExpandOS are a fully recyclable option for protecting your stuff during shipping — and we're kind of obsessed... Unpacking the box, we immediately noticed how tightly the ExpandOS had settled and interlocked with each other — it was ...

As contrast to the beginning of our Fall Color Contest, Pilar Viladas shows us a white loft in the design issue of the T Style Magazine. Architect Steve Blatz created a gleaming white backdrop for art dealer Olivier Renaud-Clément to showcase his collection of art & Italian design from the 60s and 70s — all while sticking to a monochromatic color scheme... The London-based design firm FAT (Fashion Architecture Taste) cast a stool seat in the form of a bust of Hercules. You can now sit on the face of your favorite Roman-adopted Greek hero. The seat is cast from foam rubber — the same soft squishy stuff that is usually used to make stress balls... For more projects from FAT, check out their website. Leave your jokes in the comments. I guess Mondo Primo are trying to push the edge of power pop and punk by being ballsy enough to call the new album "2FN HOT" (I'm sure one of these guys has it on a license plate). The group's sound is closest compared with Bowling For Soup with even more pop polish. Fans of Sloan will enjoy the opener "Overheated" which rocks hard and includes dreamy harmonies and minor chord changes. It plays like ...

The tubes are full of baddies. It’s not enough anyomore to simply install an antivirus package and pay your yearly virus tax. Antivirus is becoming outdated. Granted, it’s still a requirement for all but the most elite computer users, but in the time of the always-on Internet connection we need to protect ourselves against all kinds of attack vectors. An attack vector is a means by which someone or some automated program can compromise and, ...

Apple today released new versions of their iTunes software as well as updated versions of iPods. This release was hardly surprising and, as predicted, there wasn’t anything unexpected or widely diverging from the rumors that had been floating around the Internet. The take-aways are really fewer than I had expected. iTunes 8 is out and it’s cool. It seems to combine features found in web radio stations like Pandora and Last.fm where it will predict ...

For a long time, I’ve been interested in doing a triathlon. I have always gravitated towards endurance sports and I was attracted by the diversity of training for three separate events.
