Guys from Mozilla Firefox team aren’t sleeping. Few days ago they’ve launched a JavaScript engine called TraceMonkey which will be ported in the upcoming Firefox 3.1 release. I bet some of you were expecting to see Opera 10 first preview releases after Opera 9.5 was introduced. This won’t be happening any time soon because few days ago Opera Team introduced 1st snapshot of Opera 9.6. What’s new? Since there was a tip on changing Firefox 3 color scheme, this one is for Opera users. If you are using Opera 9.5 and don’t know this trick yet, you can easily change skin color scheme by following those steps: Tools > Appearance Find “Color Scheme” setting in the bottom and play with it.

Haavard yet again posted a great tip. This one tells you how you can change the maximum opened tabs limit in Opera Mobile 9.5. As he writes: To increase the number of allowed tabs, go to opera:config, and set “Maximum Allowed Tabs” to the number of your choice (you may have to restart Opera). That’s it.

So there’s a guy who used to work on Microsoft Internet Explorer team. Although it’s not so easy to say that, he admits that Firefox 3 is better than IE7. After playing with Firefox 3, he says: When I use IE now, it feels slow and poorly put together. You may read his post here.

CSS Dzone recently published an interview with David Storey from Opera Software. Feel free to check it. Storey was probably interviewed long time ago (although published on 2008/07/08 - 5:45pm) as one of the questions are: With the Opera browser being in it’s second beta cycle for the Kestrel release and Dragonfly only having entered Alpha, can we as developers expect a GA version of Dragonfly to accompany the GA release of Kestrel?

Few days ago PC World revealed its “The 100 Best Products of 2008” list. The social web browser Flock was voted in the highest position among any other web browsers. It took a solid 6th place. Mozilla Firefox 3 was in the 21st place followed by Apple Safari which was in the 22nd. Hulu (online video service) was voted as #1.
