A lot of people have been complaining about the iPhone NDA lately, especially as it pertains to App Store developers. Just last week, we reported to you that recent app rejections were included in the NDA. But now it seems Apple is singing a different tune. They have dropped the NDA for iPhone software that has already been released. And though they note they had the NDA to protect themselves from theft, they realize it ...

It was made known today that Adobe Flash would be coming to the iPhone soon. This was made clear by the Sr. Director of Adobe Systems, however, it is up to Apple when Flash will actually appear on the device. We've also learned that Flash for the iPhone will be a closed platform and that once Apple decides it's go time, we will see a Flash player for the mobile phone very soon. This will ...

woo hoo:) Seriously when on vacation the number of BIG name sites that had flash only content sucked. In fact the lack of mobile sites for these places, hell even put the maps in a mobile format, makes me hope for their demise.OOps I digress TF Apple woke up on this one.

The iPhone 3G has been selling like hot cakes and it seems like it will sell even more in Q4. In fact, it is now estimated that Apple will be shipping 5 million units for Q4, which ends on September 30th. This new estimate has Apple targeting 7.4 million iPhones before the holiday season even begins. Not too shabby, if you ask me. While this is a drop down from the previous estimate that had ...

According to a poster at the Australian Whirlpool forums that Engadget picked up, a hidden matrix code is visible on the left side of the 3G iPhone. That's pretty weird, right? The forum poster found this oddity when using the NightShot function on his camcorder. He just so happened to be filming the back of his iPhone and voila--weird data code becomes visible! Normally, serial numbers and the IMEI numbers are printed beneath the battery, ...

This is interesting! With all the talk about that security flaw of double tapping the home button to bypass the iPhone's passcode a few other issues have been brought up as well. For instance, the phone takes a screenshot of everything you do! Each time you hit the home button, change websites in Safari, switch to landscape mode, etc, it takes a capture. The iPhone does this in order to perform the nifty transitions it's ...

Sometimes, what people come up with is just cool and this R/C car controlling iPhone is exactly that. The idea is simple enough, but sometimes the simplest things are genius, like turning your iPhone into a toy car remote. As you can see in the video below, a very smart 18-year old, Josef Průša, has found a way to control an old remote control car with his iPhone. And supposedly, it only took one afternoon ...

So far, the multi-touch interface on the iPhone has kind of just been a novelty. Sure, it changes the way we use the phone, but it hasn't completely overhauled the way we think about interacting with technology. However, Apple has now filed a patent app that could be pointing to future multi-touch functions and bringing them beyond taps, swipes and pinches. This new patent shows that multi-touch could be used in conjunction with other inputs ...
