Exit Games recently announced that Neutron, their cross-platform toolset for multiplayer games, is now available for iPhone developers. The Toolset allows devs to integrate online multiplayer and social gaming features into their games. To utilize Neutron, devs will need to license it specifically for their project. It is hoped that the new toolset will mean we'll see some cool new games with lots of social features in the App Store.

We've been waiting for copy and paste on the iPhone for a long, long time, but despite our pleas, Apple still says that it's not at the top of their list of priorities. In the meantime, a very creative college student by the name of Zak White has created his own alternative that looks to be the first viable copy/paste solution between multiple apps that doesn't interfere with Apple's SDK.

With the success of the Nike+ for the iPod Nano, it has long been suspected that they would come up with a similar set-up for the iPhone. Still, little has been said about it by either company, but leaked screenshots may be proof that it is nearing completion. iPhon.fr claims to have screenshots of a new upcoming Nike+ app for the iPhone in action.

Users have been reporting unusually bad reception and an abundance of dropped calls on their iPhone 3Gs, leading one analyst to suggest that the Infineon chipset may be defective. Now a source of BusinessWeek corroborates the story, saying that Apple is aware of the situation and that the problem is in fact related to the chipset.

Those of you waiting for the Windows version of the latest PwnageTool are in luck. WinPwn 2.0.0.4 was just released. The new software offers support for iPod touches, iPhones, and iPhone 3Gs running 1.1.4, 2.0, 2.0.1. It also adds support for Root partition resizing, as well as Installer and support for WinXP and Vista in both 32/64bit. They note that a full uninstall of the previous version is required before installing this one.

According to UBS Investment Research analyst Maynard Um, Apple is planning to expand their iPhone 3G line to include colors. He cites industry checks which point to Apple making the change in time for the 2008 holiday season, which corresponds to rumors of a Product Red iPhone 3G. He also claims that Apple is working on a whole new iPhone, which will be released in the first half of the following year.

In an unexpected twist of events, Nullriver has officially released NetShare, an Apple-approved iPhone tethering application, onto the App Store. The purpose of the application is to share an iPhone's Internet connection with other devices over Wi-Fi, essentially making the iPhone into an on-the-go Wi-Fi hotspot. A similar solution exists for hacked iPhones, although it requires jailbreking and Terminal knowledge to implement.

Tired of AOL's AIM app? It's great having IM on the iPhone, but their app isn't the greatest chat experience (ie. for the longest time it never found my buddy list). If you are then here's a new chat app on the scene that you might want to take a look at. It's called Palringo. It's been around for a while on Windows Mobile, Blackberry and S60 devices.

Just a few days ago, the Apple DRM on SEGA's smash hit Super Monkey Ball for the iPhone was cracked by a group of hackers that allowed anyone to download the hacked copy and install it for free on their device. Since then, the method has been tested on several other apps, and it seems to work on all of them.

Everyone, I have some amazing news. AT&T has done the unthinkable. No, they're not unlocking the iPhone. They're not giving it away for free. Even more unlikely.
