Of course, dock-connecting iPods / iPhones have been sending out videos for ages now, but this could actually enable applications to be used on the big screen. ...

Filed under: Handsets, AppleWe figured Apple would've learned its lesson after the UK's Advertising Standards Authority banned those "the real internet" iPhone commercials, but it looks like Steve's back in detention -- the ASA just ruled that another ad claiming that the iPhone is "really fast" is also misleading enough to be pulled. You've probably seen the similar US version of the ad, which shows the iPhone 3G loading a web page, switching to Maps ...

Now if only the country that I live in across the pond decides to start smacking them with false advertising as well. Its quite ridiculous--my iPhone has never performed as fast as on those commercials (even on FIOS WiFi).

The mystery actor was photographed playing hoops with his limo on the set of his new film. He looks much younger here than he actually is. Can you guess who? Answer after the jump. George Clooney! He's hot no matter what kind of wig he puts on. (Image Source via WOW Report)

Sometimes, a breath of fresh air is needed to keep everyone on their toes. The American Basketball Association brought the slam dunk and colorful characters to the old guard of the National Basketball Association back in the 1970s. The Kennedy Administration brought a new youthful exuberance to the formerly stodgy office. And, new groundbreaking woodworkers continue to keep the craft vibrant and inspirational. That’s one area in which woodworker Amy Devers shines. You may know ...

Gamasutra posted an interesting article in which it interviewed industry analysts on which games will "miss" in the 2008 holiday season. Given the huge glut of titles typically available at the end of the year, there are always good and/or high-profile games that lose out. Given current economic conditions, games that were once viewed as surefire hits are anything but. Some interesting "misses" include Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, Need for Speed Undercover, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts ...

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — A 74-year-old blind woman's 1 cent debt to a Massachusetts city has been settled. People from across the country called Attleboro City Hall on Tuesday offering to pay the 1 cent balance owed by Eileen Wilbur for an overdue water and sewer bill. Antonio Viveiros, a former city councilor who does not know Wilbur, wrote a check for one penny. He says he was "irked" by the fact that the federal government ...

White Paper: “How Did we Get into This Financial Mess?,” by Lawrence H. White The actual causes of our financial troubles were unusual monetary policy moves and novel federal regulatory interventions. These poorly chosen policies distorted interest rates and asset prices, diverted loanable funds into the wrong investments, and twisted normally robust financial institutions into unsustainable positions. Op-Ed: “Eliminate U.S. Presence,” by Christopher A. Preble in USA Today Iraq always was, and still is, a ...
