Occasionally, my RSS subscribers drop me an email asking about the ads that show up in my RSS feed now. I get about 2 a week (which isn’t bad out of 9000 subscribers to the feed). They usually ask whether I know there’s a huge picture ad at the top of my blog post. (Which by the way taught me something about Google ads: they seem to relate to cookies in your browser. My feed ...

Just a few weeks ago, the GOP had succeeded in making this election about Barack Obama: his readiness, his naivety, his commitment to the troops, even his shady connections. Republicans understood that the only way they could win this election was to convince the majority of voters who are looking to vote for a Democrat, any Democrat, that they shouldn’t vote for this Democrat - and they applied this strategy effectively. The celebrity ads were ...

This creative billboard is an advertisement for a Yoga Camp in India that is probably targeted at geeks and early adopters who work for various tech companies in Gurgaon. The ad says "Ready to try Google Chrome for efficient browsing minutes after release and hesitant to try pranayama (a form of breathing exercise) for efficient living even centuries after discovery". via The Yoga camp is organized by Baba Ramdev who is India’s most famous ‘yoga ...

This post is very image heavy. Please be patient with it. This post is a collection of advertisements on a variety of products, services, and events. Some of them are nothing short of amazing. A few of them are so so, but in a list of over 100 I think that should be expected. Check them out and let me know what some of your favorite ones are. These ads were found via: Just Creative ...

“Money creates money concerns. And genuine attention to money helps eliminate them.” That’s the underlying premise behind Key Bank’s latest brand ad campaign, “Money Needs Attention.” The campaign includes print, TV and outdoor advertising, as well as a microsite. The TV spots share the stories and concerns of real KeyBank customers, told in their own voices as captured in interviews with Starlee Kline of This American Life — a smart move if you want people ...

This post is what I prepared for my boss at the Interactive dept at PJA. Reference credits to Jeremiah Owyang. How a company should and could use Twitter? Any other possible micro blogging tools in local countries? Identify if it’s the right market place Use tools such as Twitter Search, twitscoop, tweet scan to dig out. Also, blogs of target audience are great resources if there are any. Once you find someone representative, check out ...

Those are not EURO bills, though they look almost like them. Those are prints of new social ad from Ukraine. If you look carefully on those bills you can see small depictions of young ladies standing near the buildings. There is a big problem of young women moving from Ukraine to Europe for better life but working as prostitutes there. These ladies on the pictures symbolize those girls, and there are also small the words ...

Filed under: Productivity, Freeware, Internet, Internet Tools, iPhone Reader Stéphane M sent us news about a website he's put together called DoYouFeed that will apparently turn any RSS feed out there into an iPhone web app -- just punch your RSS/XML feed URL into the site itself, and you'll get a TinyURL back that you can bookmark in your iPhone to read the feed on demand. I'm not sure how scalable it is (there's probably ...

Wow. Whoever came up with this new ad for Wario Land: Shake it deserves a raise and a paid vacation to Cancun or something. They’ve taken a basic concept of the game and managed to make it into creative and effective marketing on a platform where even the most humdrum viral campaigns tend to flourish. Screenshots don’t really do it justice, so be sure to check it out yourself. (For extra awesome, play the video ...

I just read over on Techcrunch about Technorati’s State of the Blogosphere report, which gave a breakdown of who is blogging and how much they make. I was a little blown away by their figures. According to Technorati’s poll of over a thousand bloggers, people who advertise on their blog are making on average $6,000 a year. I’m curious who they polled and what their Technorati ranking is, because while ads can pay, I am ...

Uncle Gray, an advertising agency based in Denmark, has created a series of print ads featuring famous personalities like Mohandas Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Dalai Lama. The ads are actually designed to promote Morgenavisen (jp.dk) – the same newspaper that had earlier sparked world-wide protests after it printed those controversial cartoons of Muslim prophet Muhammad. The tagline of this latest advertising campaign says - "Life is easier, if you don’t speak up" and probably suggests ...

John Hodgman, the PC from Apple’s Mac vs. PC advertisements was recently caught in the act on the New York subway — “the act” meaning “using an iPhone”. This should actually come as no surprise since A) he’s part of the Apple ad machine and probably got the iPhone for free and B) he was on The Tonight Show one time and joked about the irony of playing the part of “PC” even though he’s ...

Kick open the exit doors and release the inflatable slides, Spirit is outfitting their entire fleet with cabin-saturating ads. Billed as Spirit's "latest innovation," the ads will litter "seat backs, window shades, overhead bins, tray tables, drink carts, napkins, cups, menus (what menus?) boarding passes, trash bags, soap dispensers," and probably even barf bags. Spirit suckered the Bahamas, supposedly the epitome of relaxation, not annoyance, to serve as the airline's first spam advertiser. More will ...
