Last week, the lit blogger Ed Champion posted an ostensibly innocent request for a song ID. When it turned out to be Billy Joel's "A Matter of Trust," Champion promised to "track down Mr. Joel and get him to answer for this atrocity." Well, apparently he was successful, because Joel (or someone claiming to be him) responded succinctly: "Here’s my ‘ouvre’ - Fuck You. Sincerely, Billy Joel." Champion replied with another mocking post ("Yes, it ...

As a blogger do you hold yourself to a posting standard? The blogs about blogging would certainly say so. I have always thought the blogs about blogging amusing. You know which ones I mean. The blogs that tell you what, when, and how to write, be successful and oh yeah get rich from your blog. Yeah you know which ones I am talking about. Those sites that discuss how to make money on your blog ...

I to u časopisu o - medicini: "New England Journal of ...

I don’t blame my fellow 20-something tech bambinos for striking the match that burned down our money-tree last week. The VCs aren’t to blame either. No, if you’re looking for an anthem for the web crash, Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” isn’t it. Try instead, Billy Joel’s We Didn’t Start the Fire. Better still, pick the remixed version (above), which points the finger of blame in the right direction. What makes this doubly apt: we were ...
