The company that got him into this situation admit they have been unable to pay him, as agreed, because a loan they expected hasn’t come through! The realisation that the cost of biofuel crops ...

All-electric cars are a great idea, in theory. And they are much more technically feasible than jet packs or monorails, two of the other big transportation ideas from the mid-1960s. (Everything I know about technology I learned on the Johnny Quest show.) Unfortunately, the economics still don’t add up very well. Batteries cost a lot and [...]

Photo of Naples rubbish piles by chrisjohnbeckett Barely a week goes by without news headlines announcing yet another innovative way of making biofuel, something that was lauded as remarkable only at the beginning of the year but has since fallen from grace. Many new biofuel initiatives sound great at the outset but once the mechanics and background information are revealed they seem to be just as harmful to the environment as existing methods of fuel ...

... pretty soon you're talking about real money. The story about Banco Santander and the UK’s taxpayers £18 billion still has not made it into the press. It just shows you the power of Labour spin, and the cleverness of their media manipulation. The story is there on the Treasury website, hidden but clear to anyone who wants to read it.We were told by the government and the media that the deposits of Bradford and Bingley ...

Earlier this month, pilots Carol Sugars and Douglas Rodante made history by becoming the first flight-crew to successfully fly across the US in a plane predominantly powered by biodiesel. Of the total 2,486 miles flown from Reno, Nevada to Leesburg, Florida, 1,776 miles were 100% biodiesel-powered. The remaining 710 miles were powered by a 50/50 mix of biodiesel and standard jet fuel.
