Do you or your organization have a question about how to use digital communication technologies that you would like a room full of experts to workshop for free? Are there people you feel you could engage with in new ways with these new technologies? A campaign you want to support? A service you wish to provide? An idea you can envisage? A change you want to encourage? On December 15th, iShed is launching Media Sandbox ...

Dan Such bags a netbook A variation of igFest’s Moosehunt came to Bristol yesterday in the form of Vodafone’s LiveGuy, his mission (which it looks like he accepted with eagerness): I’m travelling from the north to the south of Britain, laying down clues to my whereabouts. Your mission is to find me - and maybe even bag yourself a netbook. You’ve got two ways to win. Either Find LiveGuy in person or Find LiveGuy online. ...

The next OpenCoffee Bristol will be on Tues, 2 Dec from 8.30am in Starbucks on Park St as usual, it’ll be the last until the New Year when I suggest we start again on Tues, 13 Jan (I’ll send a reminder around before then). Everyone’s busy working through the Chancellor’s Pre-Budget Report (or mini-budget announcement depending on your view). With changes to VAT, small business lending, income taxes, fuel duties and more, there’s plenty to ...

It’s a good spot round Junction 3 of the M32, and wandering through the other day, thought it worthwhile to grab some pics of what’s there at the moment, as there’s always something going on. All the entrances to the pedestrianised roundabout style walkway have been painted, this one with some TCF antics if memory serves. Bit more detail on the left hand side there. On this tunnel was this stencil of a sweary little ...

One of the great aspects of working alongside Universities, is the breadth and depth of critical thinking that you get exposed to. Wednesday evening I was a guest at the Bristol Business School’s Distinguished Executive Address Series and the speaker was Karen Dunnell. Since her Wikipedia page was last edited the ONS has merged and become the UK Statistics Authority (UKSA) with Karen as CEO. In a wide ranging and refreshingly honest talk, Karen covered ...

Egy kupac keksz, egy friss szál zellerlevél. Hörcsög és nyúl harca a legcukibb falatozó díjáért. Önt mi nyűgözi le jobban? A hatalmasra tömött hörcsögpofa? A gyorsan eltűnő ropgós zöldség?

Looking just a little too puffy these days? Part of the reason why may be related to what you're eating. Another part could have something to do with how much you're exercising. And another part may based on something a bit less expected: How much water you're drinking. It seems to make sense that the more water you drink, the more bloated you will become. Although this is probably true if you're talking about ridiculous ...

Uploaded on September 27, 2008 by Steve Wampler …after you’ve laced my palm with silver. There’s always been a healthy market in one group of people selling access to a small second group of people that a third, larger group of people value. In many circumstances this is entirely right and proper. I was recently at the 31st International Conference on Small Business & Entrepreneurship, this was a massive gathering of academics researching the world ...

Let the backbiting begin! As Madeline reported over in Morning News, some members of the McCampaign is seemingly saying that Sarah Palin is to blame for John McCain not being elected President of the United States. Even you think that's going too far – I haven't heard anyone say that directly – McCampaign staffers are certainly telling tales out of school. And none of the tales are particularly flattering to Governor Palin. As Fox News reports it, ...
