The brightest minds and pontificators these days are all focused on the economy. It was scary to watch the U.S. government opening up another $800 Billion for bailouts yesterday. Where will this come from? Who will pay for it eventually? How will the U.S. ever catch up? Why aren’t they letting some companies go out of business? I am not a financial guy. I just ask those questions like most people. Not to suggest we try ...

Finally, FINALLY we’re starting to treat the RIAA like an organized crime syndicate. Check the latest on a RICO class-action in Missouri, via Slashdot: “In Atlantic Recording v. Raleigh, an RIAA case pending in St. Louis, Missouri, the defendant has asserted detailed counterclaims against the RIAA for federal RICO violations, fraud, violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, prima facie tort, trespass, and conspiracy. The claims focus on the RIAA’s ‘driftnet’ tactic of suing ...

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” - Benjamin Franklin The man who invented bifocals, the odometer, the lightning rod, and hundreds of other items was the personification of doing things a different way every time and certainly never giving up. If you switch the Franklin quote around slightly you can claim that another definition of insanity is doing different things expecting the same results. It ...

I attended a conference on Tuesday from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) put on by their Center for Realtor Technology. Here are some interesting statistics from a room with almost 300 people, all in the surrounding area of St Louis, MO. Keep in mind anytime you see the number of people saying yes, that would include me raising my hand. Who has a blog - 12 Who has used Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn or the ...

Pamela Anderson has written an open letter to Barack Obama, outlining ways to make the country better. She wrote on her official blog: "I think we should legalise marijuana, tax and monitor - farm hemp etc. This would make our borders less corrupt and then I think eventually this will be a more secure option and save children in the long run."

Educational attainment is important and key for any person and that is what the Nevada System on higher education wants to emphasize in. Adhering to the need in raising awareness and boosting the information towards the value of education, they have introduced an eight-month public service announcement campaign to raise awareness and inform Nevada residents about the value of education starting November 19. Nevada’s education system, from kindergarten through post-doctoral studies, is facing record-level budget ...

“Una conversazione è un dialogo che avviene tra due o più persone, implica il continuo flusso di informazioni da un punto A a un punto B e vice versa. Come direttore di una società, leader, blogger, ecc, è parte della tua responsabilità far sì che queste ‘conversazioni’ non si trasformino in ‘trasmissioni’”. I really enjoyed the post from Sonny Gill yesterday exploring the idea of Broadcasting vs Conversing on Twitter. I think he’s on the money and new Twitter users can learn something from his suggestions - however I wanted to ask the question today: Is it OK to use Twitter as a Broadcasting Tool? The reason that I ask the question is that while my main Twitter account ( @problogger ) is pretty interactive - my ...
