So I'm doing some PMP sample test questions today and ran into one where at the end, additional things were added and the customer is very happy. According to the answer, this project was unsuccessful because the additional features were "gold plating" which wastes time and probably cost. I got this wrong because I read "the project has added [this and that]" as the [this and that] = intended product of the project. But there's ...

This really should not surprise anyone. While Britain’s elite fight against radical islam in Afghanistan Britain’s politicians are surrendering to it at home. They are not willing to spend the money to help the few brave men the UK has remaining. The war is not popular at home (especially with the muslim community) and I doubt the UK has a patriotic politician remaining. Economically the burden of paying taxes to the EU has crippled the ...

What does General Motors, alternative fuel, The Ken Burns Effect, Clayton Christensen, education have in common? Nothing, until they were put into the Education Innovation Blender. by CayusaYou may have heard of the Ken Burns Effect. But have you ever heard of the Larry Burns Effect? Probably not, because I just made the term up. Larry Burns is a vice-president at General Motors in charge of alternative fuel-source research and development. For the last decade, ...

It's off-message. The Fox-Drudge-McInturff message is that this race is now a toss-up, with dramatic tightening. There is no doubt there has been some tightening. There are now 70 electoral college votes up for grabs, from a low of 51 a fortnight ago. But even if all the current toss-ups go to McCain, Obama still wins, according to Rove:
