I’ve always loved the stylized designs of the Northwest Native Americans. Apparently, families had unique designs painted on household and ceremonial items. The crests were prized possessions that were passed through inheritance and marriage or were taken in war.

According to the latest Zillow Real Estate Market Reports, home values in Chicago decreased -8.90% in the third quarter of 2008, compared to the third quarter of 2007. Nationally, home values decreased -9.7% during this same period. Your guides are always looking for the rosy outlook for Chicago, so I thought I would post the same map for the San Francisco area. This wood coffin dates back to 712-525 B.C. I always overlook the Ancient Egypt exhibit, so I’m glad I just rediscovered it. I’m definitely heading back in there to draw some of those dog statues.
