The pictures are really painful to look at, especially for us car lovers, the one million euro car, effectively plowing the field, like a tractor, with ...

Today was the release of Google's brand new open source project called Google Chrome. I didn't even know what it was untill I did some research on it, I was a bit skepitcal to download another browser on to my compuuter. I already have Opera, FireFox, Safari, Internet Explorer and many more installed. So I was worried about taking up space. But of course I have nothing to worry about because it's Google after all, ...

Filed under: Terminal Tips Don't you hate it when an application becomes unresponsive and crashes? Are you even more tired of reading annoying application crash dialog boxes? A simple Terminal hack allows you to never see these dialogs again. Just open Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and type: defaults write com.apple.CrashReporter DialogType noneThis will disable the "...unexpectedly quit" dialog that normally appears when an application crashes. If you ever want the dialogs to start appearing again, ...

This is how local authorities decided to combat speeders on the Jing Zhuang highway in ShanXi province, China: with two 100 foot long, 2 foot high barriers that require motorists to slow down and wind their way through the passage. Hey, you know what else discourages speeders? Cutting their brake lines. Because then they can only go as fast as they feel comfortable hitting a tree. My wife sure as hell doesn't speed anymore. Or ...

We don't know how many airports total are being affected, but FAA computers at one of their facilities are having trouble processing data, which means flights everywhere are being delayed. So far CNN says LaGuardia in NY and Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta were having problems (among many others), but radar and plane contact is fine everywhere. If you're flying today or tomorrow (like I am), you should get to the airport early. Or late, I guess, ...

Serious technical difficulties here right now. My (apparently piece of crap) Dell Inspiron 531 - less than a year old - crapped out on me midday Sunday. I was just starting an e-mail reply when the whole system just promptly shut down. It didn’t say, “Psssst, I’m feelin’ tired, yo… I can has restings?” or anything before it kicked me in the nuts. Just WHAM. BAM. THANK YOU, MA’AM, rolled over and went to sleep. ...

The iPhone 2.0.2 OS update has been reported to be causing application-related headaches for some iPhone users. The iPhone app-problems range from third-party applications simply not starting up to applications starting up and immediately crashing out. In either case, the iPhone application problem is bound to be ...
