HP said today it has closed its $13.9 billion acquisition of Plano, Texas-based IT services provider EDS, which was first announced in May. The success of the deal will depend on HP’s ability to integrate such a large buy into its already mammoth corporate structure. HP has tackled such a large integration before, via its $18.6 billion merger with Compaq in 2002, but many would argue that that deal was a blundering mess rather than ...

感谢SteveYoung的投递 已成为ThinkPad新东家的联想,似乎至今都不受外国人的认同。鼎鼎大名的Notebook Review网站最近更新了T400的抢先评测,作者就这样写道:"We have the same paint, same rubbery texture, and we still have our ThinkPad logo"。这道出了很多美国人依然根深蒂固的想法:IBM虽然没有了,但ThinkPad还是我们(美国人)的。

I was surprised to see IBM make this list:I write this post to simply call attention to brands and companies that are totally missing the boat and not listening on twitter where millions of conversations are happening everyday. Do companies think about or even care what people are saying about them, their products or services on twitter? If they don't, then they are about to be rudely awakened soon enough. The author, Rodney Rumford, put IBM ...

The tablet version of Lenovo's ThinkPad X200 laptop, sensibly named the X200t, was photographed in the wild, looking pretty much like an X200 with a swiveling screen. (That means it's also awfully similar to Lenovo's last tablet, the X61t.) Tablets don't really rock our world, but the X200's form factor and build quality should mean the X200t is also a solid machine. [GottaBeMobile via Engadget]
