Currently, it serves San Francisco by texting users with deal notifications, but the partnership with Loopt will make the process that much more effective.Loopt and Mobile Spinach plan to offer deals ...- Manne said: Clearly we are only seeing the start of monetization of location based services and they will all be throwing ideas on the wall to see what sticks. While the ideas of showing me an offer as I checkin or even pass by sounds appealing, with the density of venues around the word spam springs to mind. Clearly there is an opportunity for a service that lets me filter out irrelevance and only get deals that appeal to me. I expect Foursquare to build that into their service as they evolve.
