ShotCodes does wonders for offline advertising (and stalking) by allowing you to scan the identity of passers by. The latest venture from Netherlands-based apparel company W-41 gives users the ability to ‘carry their websites with them” using their barcoded logo apparel; each logo entirely unique to its owner. People can photograph your logo with their camera phone and use the free ShotCode mobile application to access the wearer’s Linked In, Facebook, Myspace or W-41 profile. ...

Someone's already got their hands on the Halo 3: Recon-themed December issue of Game Informer. Spilled the beans. Those beans tell us that, as you could probably have guessed when you first heard it spoken of as an "expansion", Halo 3: Recon is only 3-5 hours long. Which is pretty damn short. Luckily, then, it'll have a pretty damn short price tag, Bungie's Joe Staten saying "we do not view this as a $60 title". ...

The Financial Times sent out a preview of their new site design, which will launch later this week. Curiously, the newspaper’s site has taken on the very distinct look and feel of a blog. The layout and navigation show classic blog-like elements including a vertical flow of articles, large pictures and headlines. It’s an interesting development to see a traditional media outlet morph into a blog. Perhaps blogs aren’t dead after all. [via Silicon Valley ...
