Fourteen years ago, a company called General Magic promised a handheld device that would make calls, send email, play music, and do almost everything else that makes today's iPhone so drool-worthy. "Bill and Andy's Excellent Adventure II" (April 1994) was about the two Macintosh vets—Atkinson and Hertzfeld—leading the project. Unfortunately, they were far too early. General Magic sank in 2002. But its legacy lives on, in part because the effort was a formative experience for ...

The GM handheld was something to behold. We had been building a GPS application on the Newton and visited these guys looking at new technologies.

*************** (…) L’attività di mera classificazione è universalmente riconosciuta ...

Filed under: Retro, Video If you're in the Cool Kids Club, you're already a fan of YouTube's "BrentalFloss," whether it's his Mega Man 2 lyrics, his Final Fantasy theme or his a cappella take on Super Mario Bros. 2. But he's really outdone himself with this glimpse of an alternate universe where Louie Armstrong sung about the Mushroom Kingdom. You can find it right after the break. What's next for BrentalFloss? Well, hopefully it's a ...

Remember the Mega Man Blaster that great dad made for his son’s Halloween costume. Yeah, the entire costume is done now and up on Instructables with DIY instructions. The jump suit and helmet doesn’t look that hard to build, but the Mega Blaster isn’t something you can put together last minute - say, today. Still, it’s never to early too start planning for next years gala.

The day we've waited so very, very, very long for is finally upon us. LittleBigPlanet is out. For real. No more delays or teasing. It's been fun dreaming up all the crazy stages we can build, so much so that we even wrote up what classic games we'd like to remake...twice! But now that the game is out, it's time to stop dreaming and start creating, and that's exactly what the clever kids over at ...

Got kids? Better brush up on their costumes, because if they run into this kid, they're gonna look impoverished. Dad Kevin kitted his boy out with this amazing Mega Man costume, which is not only to scale (and comfortably fuzzy), but it lights up. It lights up. No "pew pew" noises included, but then when you're a kid with a Mega Buster strapped to your arm, we're you can manage that on your own. craineum's ...

If there were ever a reason to get your kids playing vintage Nintendo titles, this is it. Kevin is a self proclaimed "Nintendo Fanboy" who is making his son a Megaman costume for Halloween. He's been blogging on his progress which now includes the Mega Buster! This is an impressive bit of craftsmanship and I am itching to see the entire costume. Details on the rest of the costume along with build instructions can be ...

Kevin is an awesome dad. Because only a truly awesome dad would make a completely amazing Mega Man costume for his son, complete with light-up mega blaster. Sure, his kid was definitely not around when Mega Man was originally released, but I'm sure he's enjoyed dying over and over and over again in Mega Man 9 just like the rest of us. He used both red and yellow LEDs for the buster, making the gun ...

The title pretty much says it all. There will be a new energy drink on the market in Japan and it’ll be called “Rockman E Can Drink”. Mega Man is known as Rockman in Japan. It’ll cost around $1.25 per can, which is almost 140 Yen. Now let’s all sit back, relax, and watch this kid play the Tomahawk Man Theme from Mega Man 6 on the piano. That’s some nice work there, young man. ...

Filed under: Laptops As we've seen, laptops have a tendency of getting stolen from even the most unsuspecting places, but a new study has now found one not entirely surprising place where your laptop is particularly unsafe: the airport. According to the Ponemon Institute, more than 10,000 laptops are reported lost at the 36 largest airports in the US each week and, of those, 65 percent are not reclaimed. They also reported a further 2,000 ...
