Twitterank Can Have My Password, No Questions Asked (17)

Today Twitter was abuzz around the launch of a new site that ostensibly provides you with a numerical ranking, based on your followers, those you follow, and their collective clout. Twitterank, like Twitter Grader and others, is trying to deliver some kind of service to separate the influential from the less influential, as if we need more ways to do that. But the piece that has everyone stirring about their goals is the fact they ...Shared by (jeff)isageek (297) d1g1t (554) Dan (356) dobata (391) filos (50) Jon DiPietro (25) Laughing Squid (172) LouCypher (244) louisgray (550) Mike Fruchter (2257) Nico (124) Nishith Shah (53) robdiana (564) sam (156) StevieB (352) Tim Hoeck (404) Tom Mack (118)- Mike Fruchter said: "The whole concept of Twitterank is questionable. First, why would anybody care what their rank was? Second, what would a numerical score of 50 mean? What about 100 or 200? No idea."

Ex-Force hair as trees, “headlight” bricks on their sides as windows, and wands/lightsabers for the beams in the bridge and dock — this microscale castle by Wobnam might feel a little underpopulated, but there’s an amazing amount of detail to take in:Shared by Michael O (52)Contribute comment -

(Photo from the Yamanashi MagLev Test Line) Remember the record test run speeds for Japan's new maglev trainsets? Right answer: 581 km/h (361 mph). Plans to connect Tokyo with Nagoya and Osaka by these new trains that run using magnetic levitation are getting more support in Japan as tests show that it is possible to build the railway in a straight route through the Southern Japanese Alps. One of my favorite contests every year (though I have yet to enter myself) is the Classic-Castle Mini-Castle Contest, full of teeny tiny medieval towns and, well, lots of castles, of course. The “Living Tree” by Tânia Baixinhos reminds me of something from a Miyazaki movie or a Final Fantasy game: Check out the Brickshelf gallery for details like the lake, fields, villagers, and all the little houses in the branches of the tree.Shared by Elizabeth (44) jvk (80)Contribute comment -
