g-speak overview 1828121108 from john underkoffler on Vimeo. After having seen the above video you will undoubtedly make direct comparisons to what was seen in Minority Report, and that’s no coincidence. John Underkoffler, one of Oblong’s co-founders, was the science advisor on the film and built much of what we saw in the movie from what he was working on at MIT. The gesture-based g-speak “spatial operating interface” (SOE) software platform has been in development ...Shared by aches (62) adam (96) ArthurGuy (29) Barry (29) Blake (29) Convoluted (59) credmp (17) cwills (106) Dan Delphin (50) Devin Poolman (21) Devlin D (147) Eoin (100) Gil Creque (28) giseky (40) Glenn Williams (22) happenchance (17) Hervé (124) hospadam (26) Iain Dodsworth (21) iAlja (213) Ian Zabel (20) İzzet Emre Kutlu (10) Jeffrey (68) Jim Simpson (21) Jim Walton (15) John Mueller (50) Jonathan (48) JonathanRauch (104) Jorg (46) Josi (97) mainfram (54) Melissa (80) Nexeus Fatale (126) Peter Kelley (34) Rex (668) Rick Klau (548) RLivsey (57) Rob (54) Roger (10) Ryan Cahoon (33) senpi (10) Tim Ostler (48) TiTi (326) Toby (103) Tony (38) voidfiles (287) Will (34) Will (40)Explore read six notes- Devlin D said: I really really want one of these.

Minority Report Gesture UI Is Now Really Real: G-Speak [Minority Report] (24)

Un-frickin-believable: there've been a few pretenders, but it looks like this new G-Speak system is really the Minority Report UI made into science-faction. It even has gloves something akin to Tom Cruise's natty controllers from the film, and it lets you do the whole arms waving in the air, drag items between screens, object-oriented interface control. Though you might not have Tom's trademark piercing stare while you're at it. And if you think, "holy crap, ...Shared by Ahmed Naguib (118) Apostolos (110) Chris (150) Doug (72) Drew (50) Grork (124) James Tenniswood (91) Julian (39) Lesser De Marchena (71) Lindsay (66) lmjabreu (240) Matthew (22) medraught (396) Michael (15) Mystwillow (152) NomadRip (564) Pittsy (41) psvensson (93) Russell McCormack (176) Ryan Svoboda (171) Si (193) Solon (69) thecolor (204) yonmacklein (85)Contribute comment -
