I would guess that almost all teachers who have a projector use PowerPoint at some point. 本文由 LOGOSKY.NET 网站设计师陈汉聪编译，转载请注明出处 现在要制作一个幻灯片并不是件什么难事，利用 POWERPOINT 这些软件就可以轻易完成。但很多人在制作幻灯片时都忘记了一个重要的原则：你自己才是演示的主角。 没有人会去留意你上面那些密密麻麻的文字到底是写了什么。 本文从平面设计的角度来探讨处理幻灯片版面时的一些基本原则。 你有一个演讲要准备？像 PowerPoint 或者 Keynote 这些制作幻灯片的软件可以使你在演讲中轻易地加进一些视觉元素。你在幻灯片中可以加进你公司的 LOGO 、颜色、标题、提示要点、照片、多媒体剪辑片段及图表等等。而幻灯片之间可以用到溶解、淡出及推出等切换效果。 这些软件的各种特效对你制作一个幻灯片都有很大的帮助。但你要记住一件事，在演示中，真正的主角是你自己，而不是幻灯片。我们使用幻灯片的目的并不纯粹只是在上面写上一些东西代替我们的演讲，而是它能够补充你的演讲，使你演讲的内容更容易被记住。在本文中，我们介绍四个基本原则： 一、使用简单平实的背景 一个简单的背景可以使演示达到最佳效果。而一种柔和、中性的颜色最适合用于观看。我们要避免使用一些亮度很强、或者图案构成很拥挤复杂的背景。 背景要单纯。如果你采用一些过于花巧而且又与演讲主题无关的背景图片，只会削弱你要传达的信息（如上图四个背景）。如果你的信息不能有效传达，再漂亮的背景又有什么意义？ 一般来说，我们使用较暗及柔和的颜色作为背景都可以产生良好的视觉效果（如上面四个例子），可以使文字信息清晰可见。 二、使用清晰的字体 你要使用一种清晰的字体，可以让在大厅听你演讲的每个人都看得清晰舒服。一种清晰的字体必须具备形状简洁、没有太多细节等特点。避免使用一些装饰字体。 上图就是一个字体清晰的例子 你需要避免使用以下字体： 装饰性字体显得古灵精怪，线条复杂，还有阴影及其它繁文缛节，过多的视觉细节只会降低文字的可读性。 过于收缩的字体及粗黑体同样要尽量避免。清晰的字体意味着变化。上图左的这些收缩字体，间距过于相似，难以辨认。而粗黑体的收口过于狭窄，好象专门要跟那些坐在后排听你演讲的人过意不去一样。 线条变化过于强烈的字体。观众只会看到那些粗线条，而细线条则几乎要消失。别玩朦胧美！朋友。 三、每一张幻灯片只强调一个要点 你要再次记住，你是这次演讲的一号主角，你的幻灯片只是帮助别人记忆，它的作用是辅助性的。 收起那些细点，只在幻灯片上强调最重要的东西。而那些细点，则通过你的嘴巴说出来！ 什么都写上，你还上来讲什么？还不如每人发一份你的幻灯片打印稿更省事！上面写了这么多东西，看完它起码要30 秒的时间，如果我立即盖上，看你能记得起多少东西？不是吗？你的观众不是你的学生，他们不需要考试！没有一个人会记住你这些东西。 一句就够了。不要让幻灯片抢了你的风头。这句话只是帮助记忆，其它的细节就由你来侃侃而谈啦。这样会让观众的注意力放在你身上。当然，我们要仔细选择最能强调你所演讲内容的要点。其中的技巧就是：10 张简单的幻灯片比 5 张复杂的幻灯片更容易让人记住。 当然，非得要写在同一张幻灯片上也行，但…… 如果你的很多要点都是同一个范围，那我们可以都在同一张幻灯片上显示，但要陆续出现。而且你正在谈的内容要突出显示。 在上图中，主题“KEY MARKET FACTS ”（主要市场因素）要突出显示，这样可以让观众记住你要谈的内容相互之间的关系。但我们要让每一个细点陆续出现，谈到哪一个才让它出现哪一点的标题。谈过的东西变暗，正在谈的东西突出（如上方为白色）。每一个要点仍然要符合简洁的要求。 五、风格要统一 幻灯片的内容（特别是一些图案及图片元素）多种多样，但无论如何，我们都要使它们看起来协调统一，可以利用颜色重复、字体及版式统一起来。版面的各个主要空间分配要保持一致。 一切都要安排好！上图这张图片以黄点处为标准作为区域定位。其余所有的幻灯片都要与它统一，包括左边距及上下边距。 上图的柱形图表的位置与图片的位置一样。对于图片及图表这些呈矩形区域的元素最好就是同样利用矩形区域来组织。上图右中的这个元素形状非常吸引人。所以将它放置在中间能够产生良好的视觉效果。但“ OUR NEW LOOK ”这句话仍然按其余幻灯片的边距定位。 同样要记住：每一张幻灯片只讲述一个要点，就算是图片元素也一样！ 褪墨|时间管理 - 弥缝褪墨是一个关注时间管理、个人提升和演讲技巧的博客。想提高自己？为什么不来褪墨看看呢～ 收藏、分享这篇文章!

曾有同学满意地说：“我从弥缝那儿学了几招”，但是效果远没有那么好，为什么？其实弥缝制作Powerpoint只遵循两条规则： 先纯粹地完成ppt内容，然后再整体修改（补图片和动画等）； 保持简单。 可是你是否有想过，我指的“保持简单”与你理解中的“保持简单”是否具有相同的意义呢？若你去做一份相同的ppt，你对简单的定义是什么（10/20/30原则、少些文字）呢？ 这篇文章，弥缝决定不从正面地角度来讲述这些技巧，而是列举一些糟糕的PPT中常常出现的错误，希望大家有所觉察： 每张幻灯片都使用不同的背景。 使用不同的字体，而且越炫越好。 字体小小，看不清楚。 背景与文字融合到一起。 使用无联系的图片／音像文件。 使用无相关性的模板。 不检查拼写错误。 弥缝仍然奉行那句话“让人看不懂，就不值得一看”。 演讲顺序没有逻辑性。 先让我讲述这个产品带来的好处，接着是这个产品的制做过程，然后是这个产品的市场营销，最后，好像我忘记向大家介绍这个产品是什么了。-_-! 飞快地扫过每一页（一点点内容）。 我不否认你的简单的最求，因为弥缝曾经也这么试过，不过弥缝很快就发现这简直太糟糕了。 把你的重点都藏起来。 你给我一大段文字，我可没有心情读。记住，幻灯片上放越多的东西，你就越容易去朗读幻灯片，而且观众看得可比你读得快多了，你还没读完他们就已经看了。最重要的是：我们是来听你做演讲，不是来听你读幻灯片的！ 把演讲稿全背下来了。这还是演讲吗？ 使用一堆动画。我知道Powerpoint里面有很多绚丽的动画，但是没有想过竟然有这么多，简直是太厉害了。 在动画结束前开始就演讲。 我已经被你那缤纷多彩的动画效果给吸引了，你可以重复一下刚刚讲得内容吗？ 把一个想法或内容分成几页才讲完。 不向别人的优点学习。只有学习他人的优点，并且学以致用，才能不断进步。 [P.S. 弥缝这几天忙着回国，宿舍的网络也退了。所以评论和Email回复、文章发表等等都会减慢（或推延）～] 褪墨|时间管理 - 弥缝 褪墨是一个关注时间管理、个人提升和演讲技巧的博客。想提高自己？为什么不来褪墨看看呢～

本文有由 GTD翻译小组核心成员 Lei Chen、孟斯 分别翻译，原文是 Presentation Zen 上的 PowerPoint tips that are clear and to the Point. 周末我在关岛（在大阪的东南，距离三小时的路程）快速地阅读了一本关于如何更好的运用Powerpoint幻灯片来进行演讲的书——由Stephen Kosslyn编写的《简明扼要：八条运用Powerpoint演讲的心理学原理（Clear and to the point: 8 psychological principles for compelling powerpoint presentations）》。我很高兴将它列入我的图书列表中，因为它非常值得。也许书中一些内容对你来说已不新鲜，但这些来自哈佛大学一位有地位、有威望的神经学家建议，他依据有说服性的心理学原理列出了一系列演讲方式以及PPT的“要和不要”。如果你想要改变你自己以及周围的“PPT文化”那么这本书将会使你受益不小。同样是指出目前PPT设计方法中的问题，这位有威望的神经学家说起来与设计者相比别有一番差异。这本书决不是单一的呈现幻灯片，而是提供了大量生动的例子来描绘什么是有效的，什么是缺乏效果的。并且，它还提供了充分的证据，来帮助你说服自己去尝试改善现状。 Kosslyn指出，成功的演讲在实际中通常要达到以下三个目标： 与你的听众建立联系 引导并始终保持他们的注意力 促进理解和记忆 换句话说，你需要（1）与你的听众以及他们的目标和兴趣点建立联系；（2）你要吸引并且一直保持听众的注意力和兴趣，让他们了解什么是重要的信息，而什么不是的；同时（3）你应该设法让他们更容易理解、效法和记住你的材料。书中的八条原理正是围绕如何实现这三点来展开的。如果需要更详尽的细节，具体应用，生动的例子，那一定要看原书，但基本上这些原理可以这样归类： 目标1：与你的听众建立联系。这个目标源于心理学的关联性原理 （The principle of Relevance）和适当知识原理（The principle of Appropriate Knowledge）。不要包含过多或过少的信息量，要针对你的具体听众，筛选信息，同时要用恰当的语言来表达。 目标2：引导并始终保持他们的注意力。这个目标源于心理学的突出性、可辨性和知觉组织原理（The principles of Salience, Discriminability, and Perceptual Organization）。注意力被不同的领域所牵引，所以使用杠杆作用的设计原理（如对比度、突出放大显示特别的地方）。或者，像Robin Williams说的，“拒绝平庸！” 另外也要记住，人们会自然而然的将看起来相似的元素默认的归为同类。 目标3：促进理解和记忆。这个目标源于相容原理（The principle of Compatibility）和信息变化原理（The principle of Informative Changes），以及限量原理（The principle of Capacity Limitations）。消息在与意思一致的情况下，更容易被人记住。例如，“红色”一词如果被用绿色字体显示，则违背了这一原理；同样的道理，如果一张关于大阪市流浪猫数量的图表却辅以一张人与活蹦乱跳的狗玩耍的背景图片，也是不妥的。另外要提醒的是，人们期待你的演讲有变化，例如突然插进一段笑话、一个故事，幻灯片上的视觉变化或加入一段动画，等等。当然这些东西必须是有意义的，否则就变成了干扰，反而破坏了效果。同时，听众在一个演讲中只能记住有限的信息量（见认知负载理论），所以一定要仔细筛选，千万不要试图不断地向人们灌输信息，那只是做无用功。 背景，突出性和协调性 让我们使用突出性和相容性这两个原理，来单独检验幻灯片背景的问题。Kosslyn认为，设计中最重要的元素同样也应该是最为出众的。你可以通过使用大号字体、加粗字体、颜色的选择、显著的位置以及其他的方法来使其醒目。 Kosslyn同样认为，通常幻灯片的背景则不需要过于突显。也就是说，背景应该简单，其本身不需要过多的变化，以防止干扰前景的元素。Kosslyn则提醒背景图片是用来强调我们的信息而不是形成干扰的。他还告诉我们好的背景可以“帮助你有效的衬托出信息，否则就会混淆观点。背景图片不应该与所展示的信息相冲突。” 让我们看看下面的一些例子： 上图：这些海报是我在关岛购物中心的两家店前看到的。左边这幅用了三种颜色（白，红，黑），而右边这幅则用了超过左边两倍的颜色（黄，绿，蓝，红，黑，紫和白）七种。在这两张海报里，最关键的元素是用大号字体突出的数字：40%和50%用来吸引顾客的目光来购物（"off" 和"%"使用了相对较小的字号，因为它们的意思已经通过前后文中可知，故重要性略低）。打折的范围（仅限于部分商品以及必须先以正价购物以后才能以折扣购买一双鞋等等）被列在附属位置，事实上很有可能被忽略，直到店员告知那些已经在店内的顾客们。 对于右侧游戏软件商店的那幅色彩斑斓的海报，“40% Off”就没有这么有力，因为所有的要素好象都被设计成了首要的，包括多余的标语和小图片，干扰信息的要素太多了（这张海报让我想到那些在同张幻灯片上大标题与重要内心元素相互干扰的错误）。反观左侧鞋店的海报，就很清晰的传达了最重要的元素（显而易见的不同可以更醒目），这是一个很好的突出重点的例子。 让我门再来看看下面一组关于2004年手机互联网联通率的图表。其主题是要突出日本和南韩在这方面远远领先于其他地区。并不需要每根柱形图都用不同的颜色，南韩之所以用红色突出是因为它将被作为焦点来讨论。 ...

The book is officially done. I finished editing it last week when I was on “vacation” and it’s at the printers as of 3pm yesterday. I can’t tweak it or refine it anymore.
