The service seems very similar to what PubMatic offers with their AdPrice Index. Basically FreshBooks takes anonymous data, aggregates the data and provides it back to site visitors so they can compare their actual numbers with the reported data. We first reported on Eyealike a year ago when they launched their "dating service based on looks only" application. The idea was simple: upload a photo of a hottie and Eyealike will find other hotties on the dating service that match the "features" of the hottie you uploaded. Today Eyealike is announcing the launch of Eyealike VisualAd which aims to help social networks and other content sites generate more revenue based on matching images on ...

Seesmic CEO Loic LeMeur has reported today that he has cut 7 headcount from the Seesmic workforce today. This is in addition to the 3 people who were let go last month. I've reached out to Loic to get an idea of how what percentage of total employees this headcount reduction accounts for - when I met Loic at the Seesmic office last month, it seemed like there were about 10 people there but I ...

Yesterday ReadWriteWeb Content VP Marshall Kirkpatrick posted the results of a survey that apparently looked at "Top Tier Bloggers and Social Media Consultants" and the current pay they receive. The title doesn't mention tech bloggers but Marshall notes that the survey only went to "20 top-tier tech bloggers and social media consultants". I wonder what makes someone a top social media consultant. More importantly only 10 people participated in the survey. That in itself makes ...
