虽然发展的速度并没有想象中那么快，但RSS确实已经、或者正在改变不少人的网络阅读习惯。RSS输出也再不是Blog独有的功能，越来越多的网站开始提供RSS格式的内容同步。但是，依然有为数众多的网站并不支持RSS，我们如何第一时间来获得这些网站的内容更新呢？很多开发者也想到了这个问题，开发了不少应用来解决它。最简单应该是Page2RSS，利用这个网站的服务为任何网页生成一个RSS，通过订阅这个RSS就可以知道网页是否有最新的更新以及一部分更新的内容。对于不支持RSS的网页，Page2RSS还为网站主提供了RSS按钮生成功能，可以快速为任何页面加上RSS功能。PageTiki是一个推出不久的服务，跟Page2RSS不同的是，它着重的是个人用户对于一个或多个网页内容更新的追踪。注册以后，你可以在帐户中添加多个网页并对他们的更新情况进行跟踪。当然，你也可以通过Email或RSS来获取更新信息。Update Scanner这个Firefox附加软件也是一种很好的选择。Update Scanner可以同时跟踪多个网页，并为不同的网页设置扫描的频率和扫描的精度。在显示更新的页面时，Update Scanner还会高亮显示更新的内容。如果它能够和在线服务结合（像Foxmarks那样），会更加实用。当然，上面这三种办法只能简单的追踪网页的更新情况。如果你觉得这样还不能满足你的需求，有其它一些服务提供更强大的功能，通过设置可以为网页定制出真正的个性化RSS。例如Feed43、Ponyfish、Dapper、Feedity等等。不过我个人的意见，如果是作为读者还是用简单的方法比较好。我们的目的是为了快速获取信息，如果在这上面花太多功夫，就有点本末倒置了。 文章来自WebLeOn's Blog
