DNS pre-caching - cool idea. Users get a faster web experience, DNS infrastructure is already distributed enough that it can take the hit. Expect to see this in the next generation of all other browsers.

He came out with five key observations and published them on the blog. The observations: the game's world is at war, PvP is constant, the Tome of Knowledge should please Warhammer fanboys, the Empire's capital city is both cool and big, and applying dyes to armor is an awesome reminder ...

Mozilla has been looking at different ways to optimize the user’s experience when they open a new tab in Firefox. By default Firefox is set to display a blank page whenever a new tab is opened, and from there the user normally performs a search or navigates to one of their favorite sites. From the sounds of it they’re looking to add something much like what Opera already does with Speed Dial. Using that idea ...

It isn’t difficult to imagine that we need to take a lot of screenshots during the course of a day here at Mashable. Sure you can do the old “Print Screen” trick, but that’s a lot more hassle than it’s worth when there are so many great options out there, especially if you are using Firefox as your browser. Here are eight Firefox 3 screenshot tools that are worth trying. These tools will do everything ...

Time Saving Tuesday Win; Mac; Linux One of the things that’s always nice to know is what you can remove from your hard drive to quickly regain hard drive space. Maybe there are some enormous games on your computer that you don’t play anymore, or files you’ve downloaded that have never gotten deleted? By using hard drive visualization tools you’ll be able to pinpoint exactly what is eating up your hard drive storage. There are ...
