Are you feeling a little down lately? Why not open a Linux terminal and read some man pages. Well, not those man pages that can sometimes make our head spin. I'm talking about the funny man pages that will make you laugh out loud. But first, you have to install the 'funny-manpages' package via Synaptic Package Manager (assuming you are using Ubuntu).Just look for 'funny-manpages':In case you didn't read the description carefully, there's a warning that ...

I'm pleased to note that the Monty Python comedy troupe, tired of being ripped off by enthusiastic viewers for years, have finally decided to start their own YouTube channel. They've put up a score of clips from the show in high-definition TV (although, unaccountably, the Dead Parrot sketch isn't among them!), and promise more to come.In honor of the occasion, here's the Silly Olympics.Peter

How do I make a dove cry? Hmmm…thank goodness for this helpful flow chart. Of course, maybe you have other burning questions, like “what percentage of boys were brought to the yard by respective milkshakes?” Finally, your pop music questions can be answered in easy visual charts and graphs. With its eighth season—begins in January!—lumbering towards us like old Randy, American Idol remains so big that it's hard to quite figure out the size and shape of it. What makes up the pop corn 'n bubblegum singing competition? And, more importantly, who's watching? Well lots of people are, but we suspect a smaller number are doing the rabid voting, making the signs, and wearing the t-shirts than ever before. It's become clear that the ...

I'm in DC right now, gearing up for SSDP's 10th Annual International Conference, which I'm sure you already know all about. I'm actually burning the midnight oil with SSDP's eastern region outreach director Amber Langston. We can see Prince George's County from her house, a place where the county council just voted to do something very unlikely to achieve the goals the council hopes it will. I think it will do just the opposite. The council ...

[Quote:] So, the rumour was right: French soldiers trapped Usamah Bin-Ladin, but were not allowed by the Americans to arrest the apparent fugitive leader of Al-Qa`idah. A Bin-Ladin documentary just released by French documentary cinema examines this issue, an issue which has led to heated debate in the French media. This French documentary shows how the Americans are interested in continuing the game, a bloody and expensive game whose victims are only the unprotected and ...

OK, so this is anecdotal, but I'd like your help in either confirming or debunking my theory that SEO is moving squarely back into the digital PR fold. I'm not just saying this because I'm a digital PR guy, but based on an observation: I have been having a very busy time of late fielding a lot of questions about SEO and SEM.In this ultra-competitive time, clients and marketers are looking to boost their search ...

So Kevin Rose has a cold, and his cold has a Twitter account. With 811 followers. Brilliant PR stunt or just plain silly, what do you guys think? Personally this is one thing I’m staying out of. I don’t like colds. Possibly Related PostsBlogging from the NASA Goddard Space Flight CenterExploring Social Media: It Starts With OneMark Evans Launches Twitterrati
