Netgear is launching their new GearHead service, which provides support and assistance in setting up any of your home networking gear—whether it's made by Netgear or not. The brand independent service is a service in the same vein as Best Buy's Geek Squad, except it's focused soley on home networking (and they probably won't steal your porn). It's available 24/7, and comes in two different pricing plans: An annual subscription that offer's unlimited support, or ...

It's a great time to be alive. 11/16/2008 TIVO ADDS DOMINO’S PIZZA TO ITS MENU Domino’s is Pioneering a Whole New Way of Ordering…Via TV ALVISO, CA & ANN ARBOR, MI ...

It’s really simple, but take it slow. I first have to give props to Katy, she went above and beyond here, so this by no means is a cut to her. Over the past couple years I have purchased 50+ websites, and now 3 Blogs. It’s kind of like my little hobby, buying them, trying and turning them around and see if I can get them to grow. Some do, some don’t. Before the blog ...

Short form: Get it here. Long form: New Direct3D11 goodies are in this one, which are too-many-to-list here. Other coolness includes the new "10-level-9" stuff and the new WARP (Windows Advanced Rasterizer Platform -- just don't ask me why they're calling it a "Platform", mmkay?). As usual, there are more improvements in docs and tools, which will be very cool for those of you eager to explore the new D3D11 features. The release of the ...

Has anyone else noticed that, during development, if you use Firefox to browse a site hosted in Visual Studio 2005/2008’s built-in web server (WebDev.WebServer.Exe), it’s really, just, so, excruciatingly … slow? Oh it’s fine if you use Internet Explorer. Or Chrome for that matter. But every request issued from Firefox to WebDev.WebServer.Exe seems to have about a full second of lag added. If your pages host multiple images and CSS files, it’s intolerable. It works ...

Web site PassPack secures and manages your passwords (web or otherwise) online. It especially shines on the web, though, because once you give PassPack the password data to your frequented web sites, you can turn on its coolest feature, which is an auto-login bookmarklet for all the sites you've entered into PassPack. The first obvious concern that comes to mind with a service like PassPack is security, and they've gone to lengths to address that ...
