Jeff Atwood stresses on the importance of typing for programming. Though I whole heartedly agree for myself, this issue can be as personal as religion. I was pretty much a two-finger typist when I started my professional programming career. Productivity through typing was a non-issue. If you got GTAIV on or just after its release, managed to rack up a 100% completion percentage and got one of those "return within seven days" emails, congratulations. You were one of the first people to "complete" the game, and earned yourself a prize.
