yeah, sure, we'll just hire 400 people to answer phones all day. maybe 1% of daily calls would *actually* NEED to talk to someone instead of using our self-help tools. survey says, wrong, suckas. choose a good password, remember it, and set a backup e-mail account just in case. the end.

Meh. Go to Google -> My Account and make sure you set a security question you know, and supply a valid secondary email address. Then you won't have this problem.

New York Times writer Joe Nocera argues that the Windows operating system doesn't matter any more, because webapps are rendering all operating systems irrelevant. He asks: Do you really care anymore which operating system you use? I don’t. For years, I owned both a PC and a Mac. I could use Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, Apple’s Safari or Mozilla’s Firefox, more or less interchangeably, to access the Internet. I could write an article on one computer, ...

Weblog Third Error suggests a clever use for your Windows Active Desktop: Embed your Remember the Milk to-do list on your wallpaper. In all it's pretty standard use of the oft-disregarded Active Desktop, but the main trick is that you subscribe to the Remember the Milk iGoogle gadget so you get a nice, clean interface for your to-do list directly on your desktop. We've detailed how to embed your local to-do list before, but if ...
