최근, 새로 생긴 컴퓨터에 윈도우 XP를 설치하다가 크게 데였습니다. 하드디스크가 250GB라서, 윈도우 XP가 제대로 인식하지 않았기 때문이지요. 윈도우 XP는 2001년에 나왔고, 당시에는 137GB 이상의 하드디스크가 흔치 않았습니다. 그래서 윈도우 XP도 기본적으로 137GB까지만 인식합니다. 좀 자세히 말하면, '48비트 LBA'를 지원하지 않기 때문에 생기는 문제입니다. 윈도우 XP 설치 시디를 넣고 부팅하면, 파티션 선택 화면이 뜹니다. 그런데 여기서 디스크 크기가 137GB라고 인식됩니다. 이 상태에서 계속 진행하면 파티션 테이블이 파괴됩니다. 즉, 모든 파티션이 증발합니다. 따라서 윈도우 XP 오리지널 설치 ...
