We've seen a review of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, and several videos of the device in action. What we haven't seen, however, is a video review... until now. Over at MobileBurn they've posted a series of four review videos of the touchscreen handset, and though it starts out a bit shaky -- the stylus is "not very good" and the build doesn't feel very "solid" -- the reviewer changes his tune by the end of ...

European countries seem to be getting all the little surprises these days. First Germany gets its hands on the BlackBerry Curve 8900 with no warning and now Spain gets a little treat of its own - kind of. Here’s the good news: Nokia’s Spanish site has just unexpectedly made the 5800 XpressMusic available for pre-order. The bad news? The 5800 is listed at €429 as opposed to the very reasonable €279 Nokia announced the handset ...

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is not yet commercially available, but that didn’t stop some Chinese phone producer to clone it. Called Li 5800, the 5800 XpressMusic copycat looks very amateurish when compared to the original. Feature-wise, the fake 5800 is not that bad, but it still falls behind the real thing. For example, Li 5800 has a 3 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of only 240 x 400 (while the resolution of the true 5800’s ...

Olha ...

Filed under: Cellphones, Handhelds The 5800 XpressMusic may be delayed for some people, but apparently, the boys and girls at the FCC aren't included in that flatly unlucky group. Nokia has passed a version of its first touchscreen S60 handset by the Fed's watchful eyes, and all's looking good except for one critical detail: this isn't the HSDPA 850 / 1900 version. We're sure it's coming, don't get us wrong -- but for the time ...

Update: In a report filed by Reuters, Nokia has confirmed the 5800 will launch first in emerging markets within India, Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia and Spain by the end of the year with the rest of the mature wireless marketplace not seeing the phone until next year, as analysts cite the advantage that Nokia has in emerging and underserved markets typically ignored by other major manufacturers. In a press event ...
