It's true - those professional-looking headphones look great, but only when they're tucked away or hanging from a beautiful headphone stand and not sprawled all over your desk like a dead rabbit. No wait, we love rabbits, seriously. But that doesn't fix your headphone problem. Luckily, Wiretap from IKEA Hacker has a solution to enlighten us all. Here are a few parts you'll need: Main stand portion: Bjarnum Shelf Bracket 11'' Headphone holder post: Capita Leg ...

Filed under: Cellphones, Handhelds Nothing says "I'm mad as hell about my iPhone 3G's battery life and I'm not going to take it anymore" better than blasting it out of a loudspeaker. Bonus points for that loudspeaker being integrated with a battery pack, which in turn connects to your -- you guess it -- iPhone 3G (or original iPhone, if that's how you roll). Well, $44 to the folks at Brando will buy you that ...

It was the strangest thing. I was flipping through a home theater magazine that was just sitting out in the office and found myself wondering why everything looked so old. There was an article talking about how you could watch videos on an iPod. Strange. Turns out the magazine was from 2005. That explains it. All was not lost though, since this outdated magazine had an ad for the Avrak....The Avrak is a simple idea, ...

Man, just staring at all those shiny gizmos makes me want to drool a river. From the multi-speaker setup to the brilliant use to color to make all that silver pop, Thomas' balance of tech and decor definitely is a hit in our book. And of course, that's our beloved Fliqlo screensaver to top it all off. One last close-up of his dedication for Apple after the jump. Photo courtesy of Thomas Elsemore.

Just like all accessories, headphones change over time. Even though if you've been enjoying your own set for a while, there are always better sounding ones and better looking ones out there, unless you've invested quite a bit of money. If you like streamlined headphones, Skullcandy's Low Rider design on the left might be for you. It comes in 18 different colors and has a frequency range of 100-18000HZ. Skullcandy's Hesh is flashier but striking ...

Apart from the two shielded iPhone 3G-compatible docks up top, it's the usual iLuv kit with 5 watt jAura sound, an aux input, and dual ...

We’re releasing the website into the wild today, with our first envycast Advanced ActiveRecord. Definitely check out the website and view the flash preview of this first screencast. Add mood lighting to this weekend's evening backyard soiree with some Mason jars, LED lights, and coin cell batteries. The Evil Mad Scientists DIY site describes how to make your own temporary outdoor lighting with cheap supplies and easy assembly. Tape the LED cell to the battery to light it up, then mount that inside the jar top and set it out. This setup is temporary (and will burn out eventually if you don't disassemble) ...
