Windows only: Free application Startup Delayer staggers the applications that launch when you login to Windows by user-defined increments. The reason: To mitigate the common startup bottleneck caused by all of your startup applications fighting to run at the same time. You'd never try launching eight different applications simultaneously under normal circumstances and expect your computer to handle it well, so why should your startup apps be any different? To use it, just drag applications ...

If you find the intricacies of soldering a bit too tedious, you may find these tiny solder rings come in handy. Just slip one over your component lead and apply iron. You could also probably make these yourself before starting work on a board.- SchmartSolder (If you enjoy the process of soldering as is - please disregard the above message) Read more | Permalink | Comments | Read more articles in Electronics | Digg this!

The "CordWrap" is a simple addition to any wall power outlet. Simply replace your current outlet cover with a cut metal fitting with its ends protruding from the surface of the wall. Use these protruding ends to wrap the extra cord around it so that it doesn't clutter your floor. Another benefit of this design is that your cords wont be accidentaly pulled from the wall. With very few parts you can build a tiny solar powered theremin enclosed in an ALTOIDS or like mint tin (NOT INCLUDED). So when the oil runs out, the ice caps melt and civilization crumbles to dust, thanks to the Heliophone, we will still have electronic music :-)I'd just as soon skip the mint-tin and install ...
