WordPress as a Social Network? (4)

Jump-starting web productivity by logging off (1)

on kottke.org (1393) permalinkMamihlapinatapai, a most succinct word. It describes a look shared by two people with each wishing that the other will initiate something that both desire but which neither one wants to start. This could perhaps be translated more succinctly as "eye-contact implying 'after you...'". A more literal approximation is "ending up mutually at a loss as to what to do about each other". Writing Once, Publishing Many Times, Makes Context Critical (33)

She was pissed because she thought they would sell out the first day.... and yet they were even available a full 48 hours after launch. The 3G launch I am assuming will be the same... compounded by no online sales. (What a stupid idea Apple?!) Anyways... I'm waiting... for a long time to upgrade. Theoretically, you'll be able to use your current iPhone SIM and data plan (whether licit or less licit) with the new iPhone 3G. Obviously no one has been able to test or confirm this yet outside the dev team, which remains tightlipped.
