on NETTUTS (729) permalinkWhen it comes to CSS, there are lots of resources and supposed “expert tips” on the web. These are from unproven, self-proclaimed “gurus” who have no street cred in the design world. While they may have valid points, how is one to know whether a CSS tip is a valid resource or just an untested hack? Instead of relying on unknown sources for advice, let’s look deeply into designers who have excellent design backgrounds and ...Shared by !&# (223) (jeff)isageek (332) Aaron (24) Aaron Thies (10) Adam (105) Adrian (72) Ahmed Bilal (21) AJ (1003) Akai (76) Al (94) Allan Haggett (76) Andrew Cornett (15) Andy (41) Andy Goh (7) Brandon (81) Brian (60) Bruno Campagnolo de Paula (242) Bryan Zug (20) Charles (140) cinefilo (17) cloneofsnake (29) Connor Wilson (5) Cubby Brendle (81) Dan (121) Dave (5) David (52) dew (90) Digg Boss (751) Dominic (24) Doug Adams (317) Doug Stewart (212) dryan (15) dtybywl (67) Elliott P. More vs. enough (40)
on Seth's Blog (4664) permalinkLesley reminds us of Hertzberg's work on hygiene. It's not just theory, it's a vitally important marketing concept. It's easy to believe that joy lives on a simple curve. If you give me more of what I want, you give me more joy. If one baseball game is good, season tickets are better. If $300 an hour for consulting is good, $400 is better. Improved = more. It turns out, though, that there isn't just ...Shared by _original (267) aElian (54) AJ (1003) Andrew Boardman (212) angol (255) Benjamin R (34) Christelle (33) Dave (90) doransky (166) Edwin Khodabakchian (45) Erik (37) Hakim (33) Jeff (25) JenniferG (79) Joe Schmitt (19) Jonathan Washburn (58) Julius (41) Julius (93) kepp (105) Kneale Mann | RedFish Group (45) koles (21) Lee (81) Lee (67) MAlbano (39) mfh (103) Michael (224) MichaelMJ (41) Mike Troiano (42) Nitin Badjatia (66) Ozgur Alaz, Marketallica (170) Phillip Baker (46) rexy (179) Ricardo M. 5 Really Weird Things About Water (75)
on Neatorama (3603) permalinkWater, good ol' H2O, seems like a pretty simple substance to you and me. But in reality, water - the foundation of life and most common of liquid - is really weird and scientists actually don't completely understand how water works. Make Data Not Look Like Data (15)
on webmonkey (546) permalinkJust about every web page has some sort of data behind it. This blog post, for example, has a title, a date, categories, tags, and the body of the post itself, in addition to some other metadata. All of this data sits in a row in the Webmonkey database, waiting for you to call it up. When we display a blog post, you see the content–usually something new or cool in web development.
