SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) – Intel on Thursday showed off a wireless electric power system that analysts say could revolutionize modern life by freeing devices from transformers and wall outlets. Intel chief technology officer Justin Rattner demonstrated a Wireless Energy Resonant Link as he spoke at the California firm's annual developers forum in San Francisco. Electricity was sent wirelessly to a lamp on stage, lighting a 60 watt bulb that uses more power than a typical ...Shared by Adam Debreczeni (12) Alexandru Burciu (18) Ali Shah (0) Ankur (16) benexia (0) Bryan (8) Caleb Brown (3) Carl Mercier (0) Connor Russell (1) Coop (19) Daniel Shine (4) Dave (35) DAVE (16) Dave Dugal (8) david miron (129) Donald Jenkins (1) Dustin Russell (4) elmarco (5) Eric Atkins (7) etng (25) Folletto Malefico (2) Ian Mikutel (2) Icefreez (0) Isaac Bythewood (1) Jake Lumetta (0) James Argyle (7) Jason Remnant (13) Jayel Aheram (2) Jeremiah Taylor (2) Joe D'Andrea (17) Jonathan Wilson (3) joseph (0) Kevin De Mulder (24) kevin oshea (9) Kevin Sablan (10) Kyle Saric (0) Mark Frost (6) Matthew Snyder (4) Mike Villar (9) mikestopforth (2) Mr. BabyMan (249) Nick Barber (21) quicket (6) Rami Taibah (298) ratward (33) Rene Rattur (0) Rick Harrison (11) Ruben (2) Ryan Rabac (11) Stanley (16) Stephanie Hicks (84) Steven Long (0) Stijn (21) Tom Cheredar (1) Tom Laker (6) Tyson Williams (38) willpate (0) Zac (7) Zaf (6)- Eric Atkins said: o_O

Nathan Bowers pointed me to this five year old Cool Tools entry on the book Art & Fear. - Simon said: I've paraphrased what Jeff is saying here. It is really quite profound and extends way beyond software developer or ceramics. It permeates every aspect of our life. Don't know how play the guitar? Are you going to read about it, or pick up a guitar and start practicing? Don't know how to ride a motorcycle? You can read the manual, or take one out for a spin (carefully). You did sell enough stuff? You can study more about the product and the region and the demographics, or you can knock on another door or make another phone call.In general, life is about refinement... about constantly refining who we are and what we do. Someone said to me that you can't steer a parked car. So true... the car must be moving before you can get it going in the right direction.God does the same thing with us. He asks us to make disciples as we go into the world. We may be afraid and feel unprepared, but in the act of doing, He grows us and trains us and we become more able all the time.
