Sapient just released a survey which reveals brand marketers' Top 10 "wish list" for what they expect from the "Agency of the Future". The top 10 list is as follows (with a fair amount of Jaffe "Tabasco" Juice thrown in for good measure): Greater knowledge of the digital space. According to the study, more than a third of respondents are not confident their agency has what it takes to cut it in the digital space ...

You’ve heard the expression, “A good idea doesn’t care who has it.”. But whenever anyone sees a good idea we automatically assume it came from the creative department. Well I find some of the best ideas come from the media department. These guys are operators and wide-boys, so they’re always naturally looking for ...

Last week I received a Halo Covenant Plasma Pistol pack in the mail. The laser pursuit gaming set comes with two Covenant pistols and two targets. I spent a bit of the weekend playing around with them and came away fairly impressed, though their are some things that make using them for honest to goodness gameplay a challenge. The developers of the toys seem to have spent quite a bit of time incorporating a Halo ...

I'm writing this from an outside table at Jo's Cafe on South Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas. I spent part of the morning having a good look at Digital Nomads, the new Dell blog. It seems Lionel Menchaka, one of my pals over at Dell is helping to run it. Also, I find to my delight that my old buddy, the uber-smart, uber-creative Phil Torrone, is also a contributor. So yeah, I'm hoping to see great ...

Customer co-design initiatives like the Lego Factory, MUJI Award, Uniqlo UT Grand Prix have over the last several years successfully engaged a small but passionate group of professional and aspiring designers to help generate the concepts for their next range of products. Now, one major FMCG brand is attempting to reach and engage their entire audience base this way, and scaling both the investment and reward to match. The UK’s #1 crisp brand (that’s potato ...

Akcja obejmie 100,000 egzemplarzy z 720 tys. ...

Fantastic use of twitter by Mad Men. Well scripted, and quite brilliant personal responses. They also seem to have done a great job at finding the ad people on twitter.

An artistic visualization video that extracts and compares words, in realtime, by decoding rss feeds of 3 different news websites. The text is then decomposed and separated according to words frequency. The resulting structure interacts in real-time with audio frequencies, being partially sequenced. Video patch sends back triggers to audio section, generating audio-video interaction feedbacks. Words extracted and decontextualized are constantly remixed in the patch, obtaining new meanings or creating a kind of subliminal messages. ...

A new study by Burson-Marsteller concludes that nearly 15% of Fortune 500 companies communicate with their customers via blogs. Whilst the spin on the article is that this is encouraging i.e. a 270% increase compared to the last tracking study in December of 2005 ('er comparing 12/05 to 3/08 is like comparing the Ice Age to the Industrial Revolution!), I'm dumbstruck... Let me clear: 74 out of 500 is pathetic and embarrassing. It's beyond a ...
