Mozilla Fights Back With New Firefox Benchmarks (67)

TechCrunch (7634) permalink
The dust hasn’t even settled on Chrome’s release and already Mozilla is feeling the pressure. The company today released a series of benchmarks showing Firefox 3.1 will be faster than anything Google can muster with Chrome. Chrome is running V8, an open source Javascript engine, which Google claims, is faster than anything currently offered on the Web. And based on our tests of Chrome, we tend to agree. But in the upcoming release of Firefox ...Shared by [Curtis W] (25) adam (25) Ahmed (62) Alexander13 (467) Amihai (24) Andrew (30) Andrew Peek (25) Andrew Terry (30) Anton Kast (12) Ashwin (7) bill (3) Brian Junyor (39) Burad (17) C.K. Here’s a little-known but very interesting fact about email spam. The first letter of your email address often determines the amount of spam that is hitting your inbox daily. Today there was a comic book in my mail, sent by Google and drawn by no less than Scott McCloud, creator of the classic Understanding Comics. Within the 38 pages, which I’ve scanned and put up, in very readable format Google gives the technical details into a project of theirs: an open source browser called Google Chrome.
