Panda (Github repository) is an "open source solution for video uploading, encoding and streaming" developed by British Rails developers New Bamboo. Supplied primarily as an Amazon EC2 AMI (a virtual server machine image), Panda combines a Merb application and FFmpeg to offer an all-in-one video uploading and conversion system. It uses REST throughout, so is easy to integrate with your other applications. The system is offered under a BSD-esque license. Panda would be ideal if ...Contribute comment -

Developers and designers are using more and more JavaScript in modern designs. Sometimes this can be a hindrance to the user and take away from the simplicity of the design, and other times it can add greatly to the user’s experience. The key is a) adding the right amount of JavaScript, and b) using the right JavaScript techniques. We have already collected various JavaScript techniques in the past – now it’s time for a new ...Shared by !!blue (9) 7noOna (20) abhin4v (20) acafourek (14) adam (33) Adam Byram (0) Adam Helweh (45) Alex (22) Alexander Feil (10) Alexander13 (76) ali1k (23) Altuğ Orgun (23) Amy (5) Anders (11) André Lamelas (0) andré.friedrichs (38) angol (53) aNTwNHs (77) anupam (0) Arnopeck (2) Art (25) Babak (16) Benjamin (459) BigPru (22) Bramha (20) Brandon Ball (24) BrendoMan (348) Brent the Closet Geek (38) Brian (23) Brian Tanaka (0) Brian Zalewski (15) browneyes (22) Bruno (2) Bruno Campagnolo de Paula (42) brupm (19) btw0 (30) calderas (8) carlback (21) Chandoo (38) Christopher (34) Cléo Morgause (22) craig (0) Danny (0) DAS (7) Dave (10) Dave White (11) Davide Taviani (16) Deborah Petersen (957) Dimitris (15) Dinis Correia (1) Don (15) Donnie Berkholz (19) Doug Stewart (60) Douglas Deleu (2) Eddie Awad (1) ehu4ever (76) Elmer Thomas (177) elsterama (45) Emanuel Dias (9) Emiliano (23) Erik (51) Ernst-Jan (7) esesti (7) etng (29) expertseries (12) Francesco Lodolo (8) Fred Schechter (33) frivmo (12) Galtenbergs (21) GarthDB (13) GaryK (21) Ghedin (6) gisc (16) Gommit (14) Grant Mead (6) green (4) Gregor (21) Gregory Go (22) gsherman (14) hadrien (28) Hakicoma (197) Hayk (18) HIncubus (7) History of Blogging (146) hronix (11) Htoo Tay Zar (5) Huacn Lee (25) iHao (10) Ilias (0) indigo (21) james young (10) Jamie Lawrence (4) Javed (151) Jeff Rivers (6) jeremi (2) Jesper (27) Johan Martin (16) John (15) John (14) John (35) John Todd (1) Jonathan (13) Ju (19) Jules (6) Justin (3) Kahong (9) kbac70 (1) keith (85) kevan (20) Kevin (15) Kevin (1) koke (6) Kurt Zenisek (12) Lahiru Priyadarshana (11) lapin (27) Lee G. These past few weeks have brought forward a few interesting developments in the Ruby database access layer.
