11 Things Startups Should Know About Enterprise 2.0 (74)
on ReadWriteWeb (14114) permalinkYesterday we wrote about Enterprise 2.0 from the point of view of the Enterprise, the buyer. The conclusion was that the impact of social media on the Enterprise was very big, addressing the very "nature of the firm". This post looks at Enterprise 2.0 from the point of view of the vendor, specifically startups. My advice for startups that want to pitch me business? 1) Understand that just because you don't like MS products my business (an most other enterprises) run on a Microsoft backbone. Integrate with AD for security and run on IIS. 2) Understand my business, and how we are structured. Professional service orgs. are very different than big companies.
