Design Not Just Products; Design Behavior! (5)
on Yanko Design (1034) permalinkThe Experience Recorder: here lies not only the possibility of near-perfect microblogging, but also a new meaning to the journalistic ideal of Total Coverage. The experience recorder fits on the hand and records not only photos, but sounds, movement, video, and temperature! Here you can experience the whole objective reality of a person’s experience! And it comes in a totally hot Fresh Prince color scheme! The Experience Recorder’s designer Valeria Fuso chooses to don this ...

Folding Bike With A Vengeance – Backpack Bicycle - The Design blog (1)
permalinkUnless you wear one of those jet packs (a la rocketman), not many of you would claim to wear his/her preferred mode of transport on the back. Chang Ting Jen recognizes this and wants to change it too. His entry in the International Bicycle Design Competition is tagged Backpack Bicycle, and it is easy to see just why. With public transport (MRT and buses) becoming all the more favored means to commute, increasingly bike is ...Shared by satoshi (31)Contribute comment

Tabs Have Never Seemed so High-tech! (10)

Each section is tabbed to core functions like a dialpad, keyboard, gamepad, touchscreen, pico project, and printer! Will it ever see the light of day? Hard to say. 10 Futuristic User Interfaces (262)
on Smashing Magazine (5564) permalinkGood user interfaces are crucial for good user experience. It doesn’t matter how good a technology is — if we, designers, don’t manage to make user interface as intuitive and attractive as possible, the technology will hardly reach a breakthrough.
