In a perfect world, it wouldn't matter what a genius JavaScript programmer or top-flight professional looked like. In this world, though, coming across as an unkempt schlub won't do anything good for your career, your social life, or your luck with that cute guy or gal from marketing. Luckily, it doesn't take a lifetime of primping practice to get good at looking decent. Trust is a difficult subject. How do we trust someone? It’s pretty difficult in real life. We tend to trust people we know well or people that are trusted by people that we know well. We gain trust by interacting with people, by seeing consequent behavior. Reputation is an important factor too. Without realizing we use body language and all kinds of senses to build trust. Online this is even harder. Flickr Launches iPhone-Friendly Mobile Version [Flickr] (49)

Photo sharing site Flickr just activated an iPhone-scaled version of the site for anyone visiting the site with a mobile Safari browser. The menus are optimized to put the most-accessed activities—photo stream browsing, "Explore" mode, and recent comment activity—right up front, and your upload-by-email address is placed in the "More" section. Best of all, Flickr's site pre-loads many of the iPhone-scaled thumbnails you're checking out, so flipping between pictures often doesn't require any kind of ...Shared by Adam Selwood (3) AdamB (2) Alex (95) amy (20) Andy C (13) beanj007 (20) Bill (19) bkim (34) cesaracardoso (46) Chad (107) charlie anzman (85) Ching (34) Chris (20) Chris Nixon (21) Dan Russell (28) Drew Olanoff (65) estragon (17) fatihturan (63) Håkan (29) heidigoseek (15) Hisham (28) IanMcKenzie (2) James F (9) Jason (38) jasontromm (39) Johan (8) JustonWestern (16) Karie (25) Keef (31) mediter (37) Mikey (47) Ozgur Alaz, Marketallica (38) Peter (19) Program Witch (24) Retta (20) Rich (7) Robert Cortez (20) rorowe (21) Sam Sethi (4) Sean (23) Simon (28) Stephanie (19) ThomasHan (29) Todd (38) Trey (20) utility73 (20) Waldemar (1) Waqas (18) zemlanin (41)- heidigoseek said: Exposure is a nice app for viewing Flickr photos on the iPhone. For all those casual sleepers riding the subways, a new iPhone application will stop you from ever missing your stop again. The iNap application relies on the iPhone’s GPS abilities to alert users of their approaching stop. A travel alarm with a difference, the application is available online from Apple’s AppStore. What's the worst mistake people make when they set out to market themselves or their businesses?
