The Making of SQL Response : Battle of the Testers (1)
on
Simple-Talk (0) permalink
I’ve just closed my last bug on SQL Response (or at least the last one that’s left on my plate for this version). Code freeze is tomorrow after which it gets a complete going over by the testers and pending any major dramas should be released in the next few weeks. When I joined Red Gate they said they tended to do short projects – a few months or so before shipping the new version ...Shared by Harun (0)Contribute comment -
A decent chair for the IT worker. (1)

The computer chair is one of the abominations of the age. It is a design that embodies the savage dehumanising brutalism of the late twentieth century. My loathing of ‘computer chairs’ comes from an incident with a fat programmer I once worked with. Chairs seem to come in only one size. On the other hand, humans don’t, for when God made Mark, he used an extra wad of clay. Mark was big, and his sedentary ...Shared by Harun (0)Contribute comment -

SQL Server 2008: Table-valued parameters (1)
on
Simple-Talk (0) permalink
Table-valued types and parameters are among the many exciting new features of the recently released SQL Server 2008. These table-valued types allow you to pass table data to stored procedures and functions. But why is this useful? In previous versions of SQL Server one could pass parameters to stored procedures and functions. A single parameter can describe a single value. But what did you do if the information you want to pass to a stored ...Shared by Harun (0)Contribute comment -
