Reader Justin writes in with a clever idea for quickly launching downloads with the popular command-line download manager, wget. His method: Make wget available to Launchy, then pass the URL of the file you want to download to wget through Launchy. Here's how it works: Install Launchy. Download wget and copy the files from the unzipped folder to C:\Windows. Create a shortcut to C:\Windows/wget.exe and rename it dl. Place that shortcut in your Start menu. ...Shared by Aaron R (151) Brian Antonelli (32) bussiere (42) Compuwizard123 (41) Duane (66) JASon (11) Kwasi (80) Mick (49) MrQwest (32) Sid (28)Contribute comment -

I've taken to using only Inbox, Archive, Hold, and Followup as my mail bins (i.e. using labels for message processing state, and using only search to find specific messages later). So nice to be able to hide the labels I'm not currently using in Mail.app without deleting the old labels entirely, and burning my bridges in case I decide to switch back.
