So far we're pretty smitten with Google's Chrome. It's certainly not without its faults, but for version 1.0 of a browser it's pretty sharp. We've compiled a list of 10 things we'd really like to see added or tweaked. Some come from other browsers, and some are just improvements on some of the existing features. Google, we hope you're listening. 1. Profile roaming between multiple browsers. This may be a pipe dream, but if Foxmarks ...

Everybody's talking about the "Bechdel Rule" all of a sudden, especially as it relates to science fiction. National Public Radio did a story on it the other day. Novelist Charles Stross dissected his own books to see if they passed the test. (Two of them failed.) This guy rigorously applies it to tons of science fiction books, including every single Doctor Who novelization. Just what is the Bechdel rule, and what's its secret connection to ...

Everybody's having so much fun with Google's Chrome comic, we figured we'd give our readers a crack. So don't let us down, and bring your A-game. Yesterday's winner was ROIpositive for "Have you wiped your dirty temp-files lately?"

Honestly, we'd have posted the Stimuli 3.0 lamp even if it did nothing special. Just look at it, sitting there all science fictiony, like some huge alien computer's vulnerable data core. But it just so happens that the spherical shape and surrounding panels have a specific function, to constantly adjust the lamp's light levels to correspond with that coming in through the windows. By shifting around the panels with an internal 3 axis gearbox, light ...

Humble Milo Ventimiglia thinks he's just the thing for the new Dark Knight movie. Heroes' Peter Petrelli told Showbiz Spy, "I always thought I would make a great Robin." Well Milo, if you can dream it, maybe you can do it. But why does the 31-year-old Ventimiglia think he can carry off the green tights? Apparently the role of Robin has always been a dream role for Milo. He even goes as far as saying ...

I'd love to have a shirt that says, "Nice try, Diaper Guy." But I think I'm the only one. And right behind xkcd, Cyanide and Happiness was the second most requested webcomic for a What if...? strip. I love Cyanide and Happiness. Granted the comic is not family friendly (unless you're talking about the Manson Family), but it is clever. And you never really know where they will go next either. Especially since four different ...
