“over the past few decades, the Republican Party has driven away people who live in cities, in highly educated regions and on the coasts. This expulsion has had many causes. But the big one is this: Republican political tacticians decided to mobilize their coalition with a form of social class warfare. … Over the past 15 years, the same argument has been heard from a thousand politicians and a hundred television and talk-radio jocks. McCain vows that he'll finally track down bin Laden because "I know how to get him." If that's really the case, maybe he could just tell Bush? That would save some time.--Michael Crowley

Yeah, I was hoping Obama would ask McCain this in a followup -- oh, wait, no followups! cause that might be too, you know, *interesting*.

* inconsistent enforcement of stupid "no followups" rule* whining about "you made and agreed to the rules"* leading question about social security (accepting the Republican "OMG SS is doomed CRISIS CRISIS" frame)* "Is Russia an evil empire, yes or no?" “Mr. BUFFETT: And they sat there, made reports to the Congress, you can get them on the Internet, every year. And, in fact, they reported to Sarbanes and Oxley every year. And they went—wrote 100 page reports, and they said, `We’ve looked at these people and their standards are fine and their directors are fine and everything was fine.’ And then all of a sudden you had two of the greatest accounting misstatements in history. ...

The Senz aerodynamic umbrella turns itself to the best position in the wind and won a red dot award for its novel design. Even the shaft was rethought and redesigned (it’s oval, not cylindrical or square). I love reinventions of every day objects that are long taken for granted. And not that an umbrella matters in a hurricane, but…

Awesome, like having a stealth bomber flying right above your head! These would sell like hotcakes in Japanese during typhoon season, where you get strong winds and rain together. Litter is not nearly as common in Tokyo as it is in other big cities, but the line of broken umbrellas lining the road during typhoon season demonstrates the potential for this product.

Amazing. Will be the first umbrella I have ever purchased. Also, looks like a great gift for that person that has everything and appreciates great design.

None of these obscenities was uttered by anyone directly affiliated with the McCain campaign, but they are a clear consequence of the ugly turn it has taken--and shamelessly announced it would take!--over the past few days. If Steve Schmidt and the other architects of this increasingly disgraceful candidacy didn't anticipate such an outpouring of violent, racist bile, they are imbeciles. If they did, they are worse.Update: Of course there have always ...

"Tokeneer has been written in SPARK Ada, a high level programming language designed for high-assurance applications. Originally a subset of the Ada language, it is designed in such a way that all SPARK ...
