Filed under: Analysis / Opinion, Freeware, Apple, iPhoneApple's made some strange changes to the App Store lately. While the reviews change was a good one, this latest update is just confusing: they removed all of the "See all" links from the sidebar of the main App Store page, including the much-visited "All Free Apps" that many of our readers used to browse the new free stuff in there. Now, all that's there is a bunch ...- Dustin Diaz said: Gee, is this surprising?

Memo to Joe Biden: Let Palin Talk (5)

Joe Biden doesn't need to do much in this debate. Everyone, Republicans included, knows the guy knows policy detail and foreign relations cold. He really doesn't need to do much to prove he has mastery.Normally, "time of possession" is a key signifier in football of which team is likeliest to win the game, but in this case the opposite seems true. Think of it -- all anyone cares about in this debate is what Sarah ...- Dustin Diaz said: Indeed, expectations are at a super-low. I am eager to see how Palin handles the pressure.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 Is World's Smallest Camera With Interchangeable Lenses [Cameras] (1)
permalinkBlurring the line between single-lens reflex and standard point-and-shoot digitals, Panasonic introduces its first Micro Four Thirds-standard camera, the Lumix DMC-G1. At its unveiling, it's the world's smallest and lightest camera that takes interchangeable lenses. Here are the details on this incredibly cute not-quite-pro, not-quite-'sumer camera. The 12.1-megapixel camera uses a digital Live View high-res viewfinder and focal-plane shutter, avoiding the mirror apparatus that would require a larger, bulkier body. In a response to Google Chrome's Incognito mode and IE8's InPrivate(s), FireFox beta 3.1 (hitting next month) will have a privacy mode of its own that will "ensure that users can't be tracked when doing 'private' things" according to Mozilla. There hasn't been such tacit, industry-wide unification for perversion since cocoa butter began shipping in 30 oz tubs. Windows only: Free application Artweaver isn't just a Photoshop alternative like GIMP, but a fair clone of Photoshop itself. The programs are so similar, in fact, that seasoned Photoshop users will find themselves wondering why a feature is suddenly missing from the menu. The best management book ever (1)
