Engadget (3111) permalink
Filed under: Desktops, Laptops, Networking According to a report, Microsoft isn't just looking at the next version of Windows (no, not Mojave) for future OS possibilities, but is looking beyond the Windows architecture altogether with a project known as Midori. The new OS is still in the "incubation" phase (which puts it slightly closer to market than R&D projects), but Microsoft has admitted to its existence, and the Software Daily Times says at least one ...Shared by AaronTN (34) adam (972) Adam Maldonado (155) Alex Dumitru (290) Alexander Muir (0) Alexander13 (467) Andrew Littler (10) Anthony Muoio (0) Antti Lindström (7) arshad (36) Arthur (16) Avi (598) Ben (11) Ben Jacob (25) Bill (2) Brendon Walsh (0) brian collette (3) Cameron Yeager (15) Chad (3) Chris (0) Daniel Matthews (19) Dave (36) Davis S (11) Dean (0) Deborah Petersen (31) dobata (366) Eduardo batista (8) erbianchi (27) Erwin Tang Yew Hon (42) Fernando Costa de Sousa (1) G Code (12) Gabe (8) Glen Young (11) gorichgo [::] (0) guy (624) hank (20) Iman (4) James (11) Jared (19) Jason (10) Jason Joo (69) Jonathan (30) Jonathan Sterling (8) Jose Fajardo (1) Joseph (0) Josh (13) Kai (429) Karthik Kastury (4) Keef (0) kepp (18) Kichigai Mentat (23) Krazy (141) Kurt (13) Lucas Boyles (23) Martin (12) Martin Strickfaden (8) matthew rutledge (0) Mike (0) mkhall (13) nikhil (25) nkronberg (51) Pat Austin (0) Paul Spoerry (68) Priit^ (61) Punksolid (26) Randy (40) Rob (1) sadiq kassamali (41) Sander Epker (34) Satya (8) ScorpFromHell (11) Scottdwest (2) Sean McBride (65) Sham (107) Shane Coffey (84) Shankar Ganesh (59) Shine (9) sirmikester (17) Spudsstuff (31) Stephen J. More than you ever wanted to know about Microsoft (27)
permalinkNaturally there was some talk of how Microsoft can change some people's perception of Vista -- which has now sold 180 million copies -- to match the reality. Bill Veghte from the Windows group showed a video where people who didn't like Vista were invited to try a new operating system called Mojave. As Foley notes: The participants, a number of whom admitted they had no direct hands-on experience with Vista, said they were jazzed ...Shared by Anthony Muoio (0) Avi (598) Cherry Smith (136) Christopher W. The way to market Vista... Don't mention it's Vista! (35)
permalinkREDMOND, Wash.--After months of searching for ways to defend its oft-maligned Windows operating system, Microsoft may just have found its best weapon: Vista's skeptics.Spurred by an e-mail from someone deep in the marketing ranks, Microsoft last week traveled to San Francisco, rounding up Windows XP users who had negative impressions of Vista. The subjects were put on video, asked about their Vista impressions, and then shown a "new" operating system, code-named Mojave.More than 90 percent ...Shared by Aditya Wirayudha (1) Alex (8) Alex Dumitru (290) Alex France (139) Alex Zariv (2) Avi (598) Ben (8) Calvin Robinson (19) Dennis (9) Ian Ferrell (1) Joe Lencioni (13) John Storer II (28) Jonathan Sterling (8) Kevin Federline (235) Mason (6) mike (18) Mike (15) NasirJumani (213) Nathan (0) Nathan Reale (2) Nirav (28) Nomi Rauf (1) Phil Hendry (0) Rachel Leibowitz (0) Rick (0) robert steburg (27) Sham (107) Sharjeel (34) Suresh Kumar (0) TDavid (16) Trent Lloyd (4) trevor (6) Trevor Wermund (130) Uzair (122)Contribute comment
