Nine steps to Powerpoint magic (129)

Perhaps you've experienced it. You do a presentation and it works. It works! That's the reason we keep coming back for more, that's why so many of us spend more time building and giving presentations than almost anything else we do. Here are some steps to achieve this level of PPT nirvana (Your mileage may vary. These are steps, not rules): Don't use Powerpoint at all. Most of the time, it's not necessary. It's underkill. ...Shared by Aaron (20) adang001 (37) AJ (270) anarchist.tv // wortgefecht.net (25) andresmh (9) Andrew (1) Andrew Mitry (27) Andy (15) angol (53) Ashwin (25) atul (155) Avinash (15) B O (24) Badger Gravling (195) billspaced (20) Brad Davis Seal (34) Brandon (82) Brandon J. Google has relaunched Google Blog Search today, taking the nearly forgotten service into a new realm: meme tracking. The new Google Blog Search takes some of the tech from Google News and groups blog posts into clusters based on story popularity on the front page. Users can get a whole of blogosphere listing, or are able to view popular stories based on topic, including technology. On the break down page, users can view each blog ...Shared by AJ (270) CW (21) DOCBook Howto (201) donlbe (24) Drew Olanoff (127) nicolas.boullosa (62) pixelcollector (8) Rob (162) Sean (49)- donlbe said:

Today Google released an update to their BlogSearch service - and it isn’t just cosmetic. The update is all about tracking what’s hot around the blogosphere and presenting stories ranked in 11 different categories according to how many other blogs are linking to those stories. You can then drill down and see the blogs that link to the story and a chart of how many did over time. It isn’t a new concept - TechMeme, ...Shared by Brian Chappell (20) Chic and (49) Gerard (113) Krazy (537) mediter (39) morgan180 (47) nanog (18) pixelcollector (8) Thiago Bomfim (30)Contribute comment -

If your enterprise has access to the same things — virtualization, automation, performance management, ITIL, skilled IT resources, etc. — as cloud service providers, would clouds provide any real and sustainable benefit? Public utility cloud services differ from traditional data center environments — and private enterprise clouds — in three fundamental ways. First, they provide true on-demand services, by multiplexing demand from numerous enterprises into a common pool of dynamically allocated resources.
