First Bill Gates + Jerry Seinfeld Microsof Ad Makes No Sense (113)
on
Gizmodo (3924) permalink
Besides the slick and probably expensive editing designed to make Jerry Seinfeld look like the more awkward of the pair, there's not a whole lot of special effects in this clip. In fact, there's not really a whole lot of anything, including laughs, information or pimping of Vista. It's kinda like Seinfeld's really long, really rambling Superman ad for Amex he did a few years back. We hope the rest of the campaign is better. ...Shared by Scott Bedard (9) Aaron (26) Aaron Beebe (3) adam (1063) Alex Gorstan (10) Andrew Sims (7) Angus (43) Ben S (40) Benjamin J. Can Steve Jobs save the iPod? (31)
on
Apple 2.0 (51) permalink
One of the unintended consequences of the success of the iPhone is that it has rendered the classic iPod and its diminutive sisters — the nano and the shuffle — nearly irrelevant. What do you need a second MP3 player for if you’ve already got a few hundred tunes in your pocket? Apple (AAPL) was able to goose sales for a while last spring by sharply cutting prices on the iPod shuffle, but the tide ...Shared by Ade (22) Alex (4) Ben S (40) Brian (90) David O'Halloran (6) Derick Valadao (15) Doug Adams (128) downbeat (37) Edouard (28) Elmer Thomas (142) H. I didn’t expect this. I fired up Google’s web browser, Chrome, expecting very little except a stripped down early beta with a plethora of bugs. After playing with it for a while, it’s too early to say that I’m blown away, but I must admit that I’ve stumbled onto some impressive feats which show that the team that built Chrome was intelligent, mature and forward-thinking. Here they are, in no particular order. 1.
