Lifehacker (5152) permalink
Google's new Chrome web browser beta is getting a lot of attention for its slick looks, helpful features, and performance, but how does it rank against the early releases of more established browsers? We've previously put the major browser releases to the speed test, but today we're measuring Chrome against the second beta of Internet Explorer 8, as well as the beta of Firefox 3's next iteration, 3.1. We tested tomorrow's browsers on startup and ...Shared by [Curtis W] (24) Adam Dempsey (13) Adrian (4) afahy (2) Alan (24) Alex (79) alyssa (18) Andrew Greene (2) BillDeys (67) brad (12) BrendoMan (103) Brian Antonelli (4) Brian Junyor (38) Brooke Adcox (9) Bryant Tan (20) C.K. Beginning? Borderline? How unbalanced was MSNBC's tag team tonight? When Keith Olbermann felt himself getting verklempt over Michelle Obama's speech, he threw it, for some fair-n-balanced commentary, to . . . Chris Matthews. At the conclusion of Mrs. Obama's appearance, Olbermann almost seemed ready to call the election off and just hand the presidency to Obama by acclamation. KEITH OLBERMANN: Ye-a-h-h-h. Case closed. The woman above is not real. I mean, she was real once, when real actress Emily O’Brien provided Image Metrics (you know their work from GTAIV) with 35 facial poses in front of a pair of digital cameras. From there, O’Brien was dismissed so the animators could go to work. Apparently "ninety per cent of the work is convincing people that the eyes are real."
