Rumor: New iTunes Visualizer will be the Stunning Magnetosphere [ITunes] (107)
on
Gizmodo (3767) permalink
According to rumors, the new iTunes 8 presumably coming next week at the Apple "Let Us Rock" event will come with some beautiful new visualizations. Now, new rumors say that the new visualizations will actually be Magnetosphere, a formerly-available plugin by artist Robert Hodgins. After seeing the gorgeous video above, I hope this rumor ends up being true. I spent a week in King's Canyon/Sequoia National Park a couple weeks ago (during the new moon), and came away with two surprisingy amazing time-lapse movies of the Milky Way galaxy traveling across the night sky. The word “photography” has its roots in Greek, roughly translating to “writing of light.” Just as text is most interesting when free of superfluous words, photography using little light is often the most intriguing. Night photographers, consequently, are some of the most captivating “writers” in the medium. iPhone/iPod touch only: The iPhone has sported a .com keyboard shortcut for making quick work of URLs in Mobile Safari since it was released, but reader George points us to an expansion to this keyboard shortcut that can save tons of time for entering email addresses and non-.com URLs. First, in Mobile Safari, just hold down the .com button for a second to see other domain options (namely .net, .edu, and .org).
